More reviews in from Erin Larkin for The W**e Advocate, this time turning her attention to three of our 2023 and 2024 reds. 🍷
Leading the way is our 2024 Solana Tempranillo with 92 points, praised for its cherry and strawberry fruit, red earth and tapenade, alongside structural tannins and a saline, textural finish.
Erin described it as a “very good Tempranillo”, recognising both its varietal character and its expression of the soils and terroir of Geographe. With a drinking window through to 2034, there's plenty to look forward to from this w**e.
Our 2024 Gravel Pit Shiraz received 90 points, showing cranberry, pomegranate molasses and dark chocolate. Erin sees all the makings of a great w**e here and recommends allowing it a little more time, with a drinking window from 2027–2034.
And our 2023 Dragonfly Shiraz received 87 points, showing the juicy, bright and fresh character synonymous with this much-loved Willow Bridge w**e.
We're always grateful to have our w**es tasted and considered by one of Australia's most respected w**e critics, and particularly proud to see Solana recognised for the distinctive character of both the variety and our Geographe home.
