FLASHBACK FRIDAY: In this photo from the 1930s, the horse is wearing Light Delivery Harness (with a long-flap, cab-style saddle). The long-flap saddles are more stable on the horse than a square cart saddle [much less likelihood of rolling], & so are more suitable when the horse is used in a brake [breaking-in gig] with a young horse tied to the side.
