Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures across our community! ❤️

Jon, a Senior Shift Operator at our Mill & Paste Plant, has been with Aeris since 2005 and has seen his children grow up, build careers and start families of their own. Phil, a Fixed Plant Fitter who joined Tritton in 2006, recently welcomed a baby girl.

While they’re at different stages of the parenting journey, they both know the rewards that come with being a dad:

“Being a dad just gives you something special to look forward to, no matter what you're doing, you always look forward to getting home to see the kids. It was a lot easier the second time around. I had a pretty good break and took about eight weeks off, using both parental leave and annual leave. It’s great to be there for the early stages. I spent that time taking care of the baby, looking after the wife and helping our little boy through that transition.” – Phil

“My advice would be to spend as much time as possible with them because they grow quick. Before you know it, you’re watching them grow into young adults, find their careers, get married and become parents of their own kids. That’s a very proud moment.” – Jon

Not a bad innings...

After more than eight years underground and 667,313 metres drilled, one of Tritton's drill rigs has completed its final run. 👏

It'll now head to Western Australia for a rebuild and a well-earned fresh start.

A huge credit to the MSD team who kept it drilling safely over the years.

While this machine is moving on, the MSD crew will stay on site with another drill rig, continuing a partnership that has been going strong for nearly 12 years.

There was no shortage of smiles at this year’s Nyngan Ag Expo! And we were proud to be able to help make some of the fun possible. 😁

Through our Grants Program, we helped provide a range of free activities for kids like inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting and balloon twisting.

It's always great to get behind events that bring people together and celebrate our region. Thanks to the committee and volunteers who put in so much work to make the Expo happen.

With the first load now dug from Constellation, it's hard not to think back to the small clue that started it all…

In 2018, our team at Tritton set out to find the next significant copper deposit in the region. Using helicopter survey technology, similar to a giant metal detector in the sky, they searched for signs of conductive minerals hidden deep underground.

One survey picked up a tiny signal right on the edge of our exploration ground. It was easy to miss, but that small “blip” became the first clue that something much bigger could be below the surface.

After securing the ground and completing more detailed surveys, the team drilled the first hole in November 2020. Around 200 metres below the surface, they hit copper.

What came next was years of hard work and collaboration from people across exploration, approvals, engineering, construction and soon, operations. And now, we’re building something that will strengthen Tritton's future for years to come. Great work team!

Meet Kelsie: Building a career close to home 🏠

Growing up in Nyngan, mining was always part of Kelsie’s world, but rather than setting her sights on a specific career, she kept an open mind and followed the opportunities that came her way.

“At school, I tried a bit of everything. In Years 11 and 12, I did a course in electrotechnology and really enjoyed it. So, I finished my Cert II and started an apprenticeship. Then I joined Aeris as an electrician. I often had the chance to take on extra responsibilities, covering Supervisors when needed” she says.

After building her experience, including a move to North Queensland, Kelsie chose to return to Nyngan and rejoin Aeris.

“Out of all the places I’ve worked, Aeris is my favourite. It’s the people that make it. Plus, being a local means I get the best of both worlds. I have a career I enjoy while still being close enough to home to be there for the important moments.”

Today, as Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor at Tritton Operations, she leads a team built on support and plenty of banter.

“Where one person might not know something, someone else does, and everyone is willing to lend a hand. I honestly never thought about going for the supervisor role. It was the team that encouraged me to go for it and gave me that push.”

Her advice for anyone considering an apprenticeship or job in mining is simple: get to know people, ask questions and think one step ahead.

“No one expects you to know everything. The best way to learn is to ask. And if your tradesperson needs a screwdriver, try to have it ready before they ask.”

What a quarter!

We’ve closed out FY26 with strong Q4 results, increasing ore mined by 57% and taking our total FY26 copper production to 23kt.

These higher mining rates had our mill working at capacity with more ore moving through the plant in Q4 than in any other quarter for years. And we’ve still got stockpiles to process in FY27.

We also started early construction works at our Constellation Project and received approval for our mining lease, with waste stripping to start soon.

Continued drilling success at Avoca Tank and Budgerygar significantly grew Tritton's resource base, with Mineral Resources up 70% and Ore Reserves increasing fourfold.

These results show we are focused on now and tomorrow – producing and delivering while we build a long-life copper operation at Tritton.

There are some great things happening at Tritton, so we brought a group of investors and analysts to site to see the progress for themselves.

The group got their hard hats on and joined members of our executive and management team for a closer look at the work happening across our operation. They toured our processing plant and existing infrastructure, visited mining activities at Murrawombie Pit, and saw the construction that’s quickly taking shape at Constellation, a key part of Tritton's next phase.

The visit was an opportunity to see the scale of our operations firsthand and learn more about how recent exploration success, a fourfold increase in Ore Reserves, and progress at Constellation are supporting a strong future for Tritton.

Green light for Constellation! 🟢

We’re excited to share that we’ve been given the official go-ahead to start operations at Constellation, with the mining lease now approved alongside other important consents.

This is a huge milestone for us and for the many people who have helped bring Constellation to this point since our team discovered it in 2020. Looking ahead, it will help strengthen our pipeline, support local opportunities and deliver long-term value for the region.

Work is already underway on the ground, including construction of the haul road and services corridor, along with erosion, sediment and traffic management controls to help get the site ready safely and responsibly. We are set to start pit waste stripping this quarter.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in reaching this milestone.
