Do you have experience working in the mechanical engineering industry?
If you’ve got 3+ years of hands-on experience, you could be closer to a formal qualification than you think!

Through Recognised Prior Learning (RPL), your real-world skills can be assessed and turned into a nationally recognised qualification without going back to traditional study.
That means your experience could fast-track you into roles like Fitter, Machinist, or Plant Mechanic, helping you move forward in your career sooner.

May results are in; and the momentum is clear.

In May, TSA completed 115 candidate assessments, with an average assessment time of 14 days from enrolment to outcome.

That matters because employers, candidates, migration professionals, and recruitment partners need an assessment process they can actually plan around.

When assessment outcomes are delivered clearly, consistently, and within commercially realistic timeframes, it gives employers more confidence to move forward with international talent pipelines.

Our focus remains simple: quality assessments, consistent outcomes, and a process that gives all parties greater certainty.

This is the standard we are continuing to set at Trade Skills Australia.

April results are in; and they show exactly what Trade Skills Australia is building.

For too long, the TRA skills assessment process has been seen by many employers and candidates as slow, unclear, and difficult to rely on when planning offshore recruitment.

We are working to change that perception.

In April, TSA completed 29 candidate assessments, with an average assessment time of 13.3 days from enrolment to lodgement.
That matters because when employers are looking offshore to fill genuine skills gaps, they need assessment partners who are clear, consistent, and commercially realistic. Faster, well-managed assessment processes give employers greater confidence to re-engage with international talent pathways.

Our focus is simple: quality assessments, consistent outcomes, and a process that gives candidates, employers, and migration professionals more certainty.

This is the standard we are setting at Trade Skills Australia.
