Don't forget from today, 1 July 2022, there are changes to superannuation and minimum wages.

- The superannuation guarantee contributions for employers has increased from 10% to 10.5%.
- The minimum wage increases by 5.2% and Modern Award minimum wages by 4.6% (some award exclusions apply).

It is important you are paying your employees correctly and your systems are compliant and up to date with the changes.

There are changes to the effective from 1 July 2022, these new provisions include:

- Minimum payments for some casuals
- Minimum payments for part time employees
- Consultation requirements for different arrangements

The Fair Work Commission have raised the minimum wage by 5.2% or $40 per week and are increasing Modern Award minimum wages by 4.6%. These increases are effective from 1 July 2022.

A reminder to our clients to please take a look at your employees against their Award classification to understand the rate increases and financial impact to your business.

This week is National Reconciliation Week - is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

The theme for 2022 is 'Be Brave. Make change.' is a challenge to all Australians— individuals, families, communities, organisations and government—to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for the benefit of all Australians.

Adaptable HR acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Custodians of the country on which we live and work. We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians and Elders past, present and future, and honour their connection to the land and ongoing contribution to society.
