WE’RE HIRING – EXCAVATOR OPERATOR
Tas-X Contracting is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing team.
We are a Southern Tasmanian earthmoving and civil construction business delivering residential, commercial and rural projects. We take pride in our work, our equipment and the reputation we’ve built throughout the industry.
This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team working across a diverse range of excavation and civil construction projects.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be involved in:
🔹 Excavation and earthworks
🔹 Site cuts and preparation
🔹 Drainage and service installation
🔹 Road and driveway construction
🔹 Residential, commercial and rural projects
🔹 General civil construction works
You will primarily operate excavators ranging from 5t to 13t while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.
Essential Requirements
✅ Excavator operating experience
✅ White Card
✅ Current driver’s licence
✅ Strong work ethic and reliability
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Highly Regarded
✔ HR or HC licence
✔ Tipper truck experience
✔ Float, trailer or machinery transport experience
✔ Roller and other civil plant operation
✔ GPS machine control experience
✔ Ability to work across multiple areas of the business when required
