We are proud to support projects delivering positive, long term environmental outcomes across our region.

One of these is the Living Carbon project being led by Sam Pollack, which is focused on landscape restoration while contributing to long term carbon outcomes. Projects like this demonstrate what’s possible when local knowledge, strong partnerships and the right support come together.

From propagation through to delivery (and planting), we’re proud to grow the seedlings that help bring projects like Living Carbon to life. Every tray that leaves our nursery represents more than just plants, it is part of a broader effort to support biodiversity, resilience and future focused land management.

These projects are about the legacy they help create over time through healthier landscapes, stronger ecosystems and opportunities for landholders to be part of collaborative environmental stewardship.

We’re grateful to work alongside Local Land Services, project teams and landholders like Sam who are leading this work on the ground.

This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Local Land Services under the Net Zero Plan Stage 1: 2020-2030.

🌱 Where productivity meets biodiversity – exciting things are happening at !

Through the Living Carbon Program, this once highly cleared property is being transformed with a 13ha native planting, bringing life back to the landscape 🌿

What does this mean?
• reconnecting paddocks with remnant vegetation
• creating vital habitat for native wildlife
• strengthening wildlife corridors across the property.

🐑 And it’s not just great for the environment – these new plantings will double as shelter belts for livestock, improving animal welfare, boosting productivity, and building a more resilient farming system.

We can’t wait to watch this space as the landscape comes to life over the coming months!

We love seeing the impact of projects like this one from Greening Australia. Jayfields Nursery was proud to be involved with this project in the NSW Riverina and helping bring James’ vision to life.

It’s inspiring to see how carbon revegetation can repair erosion, restore gullies and create habitat corridors.

Geoff and Sam Pollack are improving their farm’s biodiversity through strategic revegetation.

Working with DPIRD On-Farm Carbon Advice and RLLS, they’ve replanted gullies and other areas to support habitat, soil health, and long-term farm resilience.

Small plantings now = stronger ecosystems for the future. 💚

🌡️ Heat management in action.

With prolonged high temperatures continuing, these young seedlings are now in the most critical stage of establishment.

Root systems are shallow, moisture demand is high, and even short periods of stress can slow development.

Our focus right now is on:
• maintaining consistent soil moisture (without overwatering)
• adjusting irrigation timing to reduce evaporation loss
• managing airflow to limit heat load
• monitoring for early signs of stress or setback

Extreme weather like this reinforces the importance of controlled early growth. Seedlings that are well-managed through heat events develop stronger structure and better resilience as they mature.

It’s careful, deliberate work and it’s what sets these plants up for long-term performance in real conditions.

🌱 Tiny seedlings. Big resilience. ☀️

These little babies have arrived just as we’re being tested with some seriously relentless heat. While the days are HOT, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes to keep them healthy, hydrated and thriving.

Strong seedlings don’t just happen, they’re nurtured.

Hot weather like this is a reminder that growing plants in our region takes patience, planning and a whole lot of care… but it’s also what helps produce tough, resilient plants ready for real conditions.

Hang in there little ones - we’ve got you 💚🌿

There’s no quick fix when it comes to regenerating the land.
It takes patience, planning, and persistence. But the payoff is worth it with returning birds, thriving soil, and resilient ecosystems remind us why we keep planting.
Regeneration Takes Time.

What happens after our seedlings leave the nursery?

They head to farms, creeks, roadsides — wherever they’re needed most. From stabilising soil to providing shade and food for wildlife, each plant helps restore balance to our land.
