These scammers have apparently been active around Jindera, Gerogery and Howlong.

SCAM Warning!

Seems we have some individuals around the area selling bitumen and related works as a door to door tactic at alleged reduced costs.

Please be mindful of paying up front for any door to door sales person who promises to get the work done for you to a high standard. In previous reports across Australia the jobs are often completed in record time, however the materials used are of very low quality and the ground is not prepared properly.

This adds up to be a considerable cost to the victim as the substandard material has to be removed before corrective work can be conducted.
