🛥️🎣 SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT IS COMING TO HURRICANE… 👀
Meet Nordy’s new travelling fishing boat — a Huntercraft Jet Venturer 4200, built in Southland, New Zealand, and getting very close to making the trip across to Australia. 🇳🇿➡️🇦🇺
Powered by a 50hp Tohatsu outboard jet, the Jet Venturer features a specially designed tunnel hull allowing the jet to sit much higher than a conventional outboard. The idea is simple — seriously shallow-water access and getting into places normal boats simply can’t.
And that’s exactly why we wanted one! 😎
We’re looking forward to chasing bass in hard-to-reach local country, exploring shallow bream water, backwaters and sections of estuary we’ve never been able to access properly before.
After Nordy’s barra adventures over the last few years, barramundi are definitely on the list too. Big tides, mud banks, rock bars and shallow creeks — this little boat could open up some very interesting country. 🎣
This will be Nordy’s travelling boat, exploring waterways he doesn’t know and seeing just what’s around that next bend. Tasmania is also firmly on the hit list.
With minimal draft, no conventional prop hanging underneath and a heavy-duty 9mm aluminium bottom built for impact, it’s certainly a different little fishing machine.
A huge thanks to Andrew Owen and the team at Huntercraft New Zealand. Andrew has been an extremely nice bloke and fantastic to deal with throughout the build. Check out Huntercraft’s website, YouTube and socials if you want to see what these boats can do.
And thanks to Corey Lean from Podium Wraps for supplying the wrap. 💚🖤 We reckon it’s come up a treat!
It’s not in Australia yet, but IT’S GETTING CLOSE! 👀
We’ll keep you updated with photos, videos and adventures as Nordy discovers just where this thing can take us.
💚 New water. New adventures. New places to fish. 🎣
