Carefully removed the python that has a belly full after eaten a possum

Just clearing this up as we got a few commenting about the snake’s head and neck.

After finishing its meal, this wild Carpet Python climbed up into the pipework it was under the house. It had just eaten a possum weighing around 5 kilos, so that’s a huge amount of extra weight for the snake to carry and it skin stretches.

You can see the snake hanging with a lot of that weight being supported around the head and neck area, which is why the body looks so stretched and heavy, this was simply the position it had put itself in while moving around after feeding.
