Springfield tech centre has access to a fully equipped training centre (Westech) we are able to deliver a large variety of courses to help you pick up the skills to enable you to get that project completed. We will offer these courses after hours either evenings or weekends. Down to earth experienced trainers will be there to help you gain the skills you require. Everyone will have slightly diffe
rent goals and we will facilitate each person's learning to suit their needs. For example in metal we will offer core skills and then allow you to join a fabrication class where you can decide your own goals. The core skills will ensure you can weld and if needed safely use machining equipment like CNC lathe and mill. We are a small operation with low overheads so we can offer small classes at a very fair price. Our MIG welding classes will have no more than 9 people and an 8 hour course will be $280. At the end of this course you will have a sound understanding of MIG welding and you will leave confident you can produce sound welds. At this stage we are intending to offer these courses

TIG welding-taught by experienced pipe welder
Welding for artists-MIG welding with access to other welding processes
Turning machining/CNC-taught by fitter and engineer
Metal Manufacturing-fixed workshop cost plus materials or arrange your own
Panel beating car restoration/rust repair- bring in a door or guard and we will show you how to repair it. -Taught by a panel beater with 30 years experience
tiling/bathroom renovation
Computer courses-office suite -taught by an office manager with 20 years experience

We will run almost any course you suggest as long as we can get enough interest. We will organise equipment, find a trainer and make it happen
