Some moments from May ‘25 + ‘26 in the vineyard.
Snakes soak up the last of the warmth, dogs roll in the mud, and lambs are born under the watchful eye of our Maremmas.
The goldenrain tree turns from orange to pink, the last of the leaves drop from the vines, and important winter work begins to support them into their dormancy phase.
During this time of the year, the vines begin to conserve critical energy reserves needed for budburst and new spring growth, which will ultimately affect next year’s harvest. Our viticulturists and vineyard team take this time to prune our vines, repair any infrastructure in the blocks, inspect the health of the plants, and continue planning for the season ahead.
