Meet Alex Solti 👋

Alex runs the Online Travel Club (Alex Solti - Smart Travel & Business Connections) through BNI, helping families and business owners save money on travel through a private booking platform. Free to join, with an optional savings plan that rewards members with points and benefits Alex says beat anything else he's seen.

What he loves most about BNI is the connections. When someone in the room needs a service, there's already a trusted person to refer them to, someone the group has actually met and vouches for.

Alex would love to see more unique businesses join, mechanics, plumbers, electricians, business coaches, people who genuinely stand out in their field.

Meet Amanda Palmer 👋

Amanda runs ASAP Solutions, a tax accountant and business advisor known for cutting the jargon and keeping things straightforward.

Her big message this week: if you have an investment property or a business, get it professionally valued before 30 June, not after. The upcoming tax changes affect every Australian.

Amanda would love to see more tradies, a property valuer, and someone in yard maintenance join the room.

Meet Simon Beagley 👋

Simon is Director and Principal Physiotherapist at Alpha Physiotherapy in Sumner, leading a team of five focused on people-first care and long term results.

Big news from Simon 🥳: on 12 October Alpha Physio is upsizing to a new clinic. Six consult rooms and a private rehab gym, so patients get one on one sessions with a physio in a private space rather than a busy public gym.

On what BNI has done for the business:

"I've got business insurance through BNI. Accounting and bookkeeping through BNI. Marketing through BNI. And a wealth of knowledge from the members."

Simon would like to see trades join the room, electricians and plumbers in particular, plus a dentist. And above all, members who want to grow.

Sound like you? Send us a message.

Meet Gita Hettiaratchi 👋

Gita runs Towards Growth, strategy advisors for small and medium businesses. Her work is about stepping back and asking where your business is now, where you want to take it, and how you get from A to B.

"When you're in small business, you tend to be isolated. You need to be around other businesses to learn from each other and contribute to other people's success."

We asked Gita who she would like to see join the room. Her answer: a HR professional and a commercial lawyer. Both seats are open.

Work in HR or commercial law? Send us a message.

Meet Izzy Fraser 👋

Izzy is a property lawyer at Macpherson Kelley and a member here at BNI Horizon. Conveyancing, commercial leases, landlords and tenants.

She joined after referral partners in another chapter suggested she take a look. What she did not expect was how much of the value sat outside the business side.

"Having a room full of contacts is a wealth of knowledge you can draw on if you need support with something. And it extends beyond business."

Her advice for anyone considering BNI: visit more than one chapter. Each has its own culture, so find the room that fits.

Oh, and get ready for the early mornings 😄

Getting posted in six weeks and trying to buy a house from the other side of the country is not a fun position to be in.

That's the problem Jason built Candid Property to solve. After 16 years in the Army he now works as a buyer's agent for ADF families and healthcare workers, doing the searching, the inspecting and the negotiating on the ground so his clients don't have to.

One of our newest members at BNI Horizon. 👇

Tuesdays at 6.45am @ The Jindalee Hotel. Visitors welcome.

Nisarg joined BNI Horizon a few months ago and today he gave his first feature presentation.

He runs Star Promotions, supplying branded merchandise to businesses across Australia. Turns out a lot of what walks through the door at a Tuesday morning meeting is exactly the kind of work he's after.

Every week we sit down with one of our members and hear what BNI Horizon has actually done for their business. No scripts, no sales pitch.

We meet at 6.45am Tuesday morning @ The Jindalee Hotel. Visitors always welcome.
