After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to delete this page.
We’ve been weighing it up for a while. What pushed us over the edge is Meta’s data practices, specifically the way they use business pages, photos and content to train their AI systems, and how genuinely hard they make it to stop them from doing so.
To give you the full picture: Meta collects everything you actively share, including photos, posts, profile details and messages, plus data from your device like your IP address, browsing behaviour and location. Even if you don’t use Meta’s platforms yourself, they can still scrape data such as photos of you if someone else posts them.
In April 2025, Meta announced it would harvest public Facebook and Instagram posts to train its AI, and the opt-out window closed after only a few weeks. Advocacy groups called the scheme illegal, and European regulators intervened to demand clearer notices and an easier objection process. In the US, there was no opt-out option at all. At this point, the only guaranteed way to protect your information from being used for AI training is to delete your account.
So that’s what we’re doing.
We’re a small cleaning business. We don’t think it’s right that our client photos, our before-and-afters, our content, get fed into a system we never agreed to and can’t meaningfully exit from.
