First let me introduce myself...
My name is Maria Laarni. Originally from the Philippines, we migrated to Australia in 2008. I received a Computer Engineering degree in College, but I was unable to find employment within that field, so I sought out full time work in other fields. However, when I had my firstborn, I became a stay at home mum as my salary contributed very little to the household.
And so I followed my calling, had two more children and raised them full time. It wasn’t easy at first but eventually I started to like staying at home where I never missed any milestones of my children growing up. One day we were given the opportunity to migrate to Australia, and thanks to the help of my dad’s siblings, we were granted residency. My husband found a decent job not too long after we arrived. Fourth child was born. Yeah! But three years later, in a sudden twist of fate, I suddenly became responsible of financially providing for the household. In an effort to feed my growing family, I returned to the workforce and found a job in a nursing home as a kitchen hand. In all honesty, I was scared as I hadn’t worked for fifteen years. I wish I could say it was easy but I realized that I had less time to spend with my children. This made me sad as my children were used to having me around all the time. This pushed me to find something that offered me the change that I wanted. When I came across an ad on YouTube, I knew this digital business venture was exactly what I needed. What’s more important than having time freedom, not worrying about your alarm clock or impressing your boss? Obviously, it’s spending your most precious moments with the most important people in your life, your family of course! As with any business, results will vary as success isn’t achieved overnight. It takes faith and action to see results.
