Kantra is excited to announce it is developing a new Kanmantoo surface portal which will give us additional access to the underground orebody.

Blasting of this portal will take place on Saturday 17th October and continue over the coming weeks during daylight hours.

Extensive design and risk assessments have been completed and all blast exclusions are contained within the mine site and will not affect the general public.

Unfortunately due to the location of the Portal the blast will not be visible from any locations within or outside the mine site.

Kantra Copper recently joined the AusIMM Adelaide Student Chapter for its Students Meet Industry night at Mylk Bar.

Viv Naidu, Sustainability Superintendent, and Caitlin Rowett, Group Technical Manager and Chief Geologist, enjoyed meeting geology, mining and chemical engineering students and talking about careers, vacation work and graduate opportunities at Kanmantoo.

It was also our first SMI event under the Kantra Copper name.

Supporting local jobs in the Adelaide Hills

Kantra Copper was pleased to join local employers, employment services, apprenticeship providers and government representatives for a Local Jobs Panel at LOT.100 in the Adelaide Hills.

Our HR Superintendent Annabelle Edkins joined the employer panel to talk about employment at Kanmantoo, developing and retaining local people, and the opportunities available for people to build a career in mining while continuing to live locally.

It was a great opportunity to meet the people and organisations working directly with local jobseekers and to continue building connections as we look towards future recruitment, training and apprenticeship opportunities.

Thanks to Leanne Hill from Workforce Australia for facilitating the discussion, and Mount Barker District Council for bringing everyone together.

Kantra was pleased to host Lawrence Ben, Assistant Minister for Copper, Steel, Critical Metals and Minerals, at the Kanmantoo Copper Mine.

It was a great opportunity to showcase Kanmantoo’s existing processing infrastructure and strong metallurgical performance, while discussing the potential for future Mutooroo ore to utilise available mill capacity.

We also headed underground to highlight the continued growth of the operation, which has supported mining rates of 1.8 million tonnes per annum, and the opportunities to grow further from here.

An exciting new chapter for Hillgrove Resources.

Following shareholder approval at the General Meeting held on 17 August 2026, Hillgrove Resources Limited will become Kantra Copper Limited.

The new name reflects who we are today, a South Australian copper producer with strong foundations at Kanmantoo and exciting opportunities ahead.

Kantra brings together “Kan” from Kanmantoo*and “tra”, inspired by *terra*, meaning earth, recognising our heritage while looking confidently to the future.

While our name is changing, our commitment to our people, our communities and safely producing copper in South Australia remains the same.

We look forward to sharing more as we transition to Kantra Copper.

Hillgrove Resources was proud to attend the 2026 NAIDOC SA Gala Ball, celebrating this year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly."

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Kaurna Yerta, the Gala Ball brought people together to recognise the strength, achievements and enduring legacy of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while celebrating culture, connection and community.

Our CEO, Bob Fulker, was joined by members of the Hillgrove team from across the business, representing operations, maintenance and corporate services. It was a fantastic evening and a privilege to be part of such an important celebration.

A big thank you to the organisers for hosting such a memorable event. We're proud to have shared in the celebrations and to continue supporting opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.

Our team at Kanmantoo Copper Mine has been putting in the hard work for the 2026 Push-Up Challenge - all part of our mental health awareness month!

🔢 61,863 push-ups banked 💰 $2,620 raised, smashing our $1,000 target by 162%!

Every push-up counts in raising awareness and funds for mental health. We're incredibly proud of every single person who got down and did the work. This challenge is about more than fitness - it's about showing up for each other, bringing people together, and strengthening our mental fitness through movement.
