Looking for a hands-on seasonal role within the agricultural industry?
We are seeking reliable and motivated and detail-oriented Harvest Support Casuals to join our team in Kapunda for the upcoming harvest season.
As a Harvest Support Casual, your role is an integral part of supporting our harvest operations through weighbridge administration, stock control, bale sampling, quality testing and record management. This position combines administrative responsibilities with practical operational tasks, providing a varied and rewarding work environment.
Working as part of a support team, you will help ensure our product is accurately handled, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Flexible hours are available, with weekend work and extended hours required during peak harvest periods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare storage sheds for new season hay and straw receivals
- Operate the weighbridge, complete dockets and enter stock data into the Pulse system
- Ensure bales are tagged, moisture tested and accurately recorded before loading into the shed
- Maintain accurate shed plans/maps detailing tag numbers, bale counts and grower’s names
- Core bales in paddock and test core samples for ARGT
- Test nutritional samples using the NIR machine and record results on the grading sheet
- Set up and maintain core, and take samples for each contract
- Assist with sample analysis, data entry, and quality control processes
Skills & Experience:
- Must be able to work flexible hours including extended hours and weekends
- Must hold a current driver’s license and have own transport
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have a positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Experience in the industry is an advantage, but not essential, as training will be provided.
