A big thank you to the City of Karratha for supporting Smart Counters through the Take Your Business Online Grant.

Their contribution helped us upgrade our website, making it easier to showcase our Australian-designed and made container counting and sorting machines.

Support like this makes a real difference for regional businesses like ours. We appreciate the City’s commitment to helping local businesses grow and innovate.

🏆 Honoured to be recognised at the KDCCI Business Excellence Awards! We're thrilled to have received the Innovation Award for 2023, and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team at KDCCI and the sponsor, Rio Tinto.

🌟 Our journey towards innovation began when we secured the Containers for Change Refund point contract and launched North West Recycling. We sought to automate the counting process and discovered a gap in available technology, which was only available for lease.

💡 Determined not to be tied to a lease, Jake embarked on creating our own solution. What you see at NWR today are the two machines that marked the start of this incredible journey. Collaborating with local businesses, SECA Engineering, KAW Engineering Pty Ltd and Karratha Signs, we developed a patented machine, manufactured locally and used nationwide. We've continuously improved the design to meet evolving needs and enhance customer service.

🌍 While we're proud of our achievements so far, we're excited about the endless possibilities ahead. Special thanks to the Pilbara Development Commission for their support in fostering regional economic growth.

🚀 The future holds more innovation, growth, and exciting opportunities. Thank you again to KDCCI for this prestigious award, and congratulations to all the other deserving winners and nominees!
