When we found out the Karratha-Dampier Tee-Ball club needed some love on their trusty equipment trailer, our crew jumped at the chance to help out.

With the roof looking a bit worse for wear, our workshop team relined it with new sheets, then got stuck in blasting and repainting the whole trailer.

Great to see local businesses backing our junior sport and community.

Nice work team! 🙌

Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of attending the Rio Tinto Pilbara Buy Local Expo at the Red Earth Arts Precinct. The Buy Local Expo is a wonderful opportunity to connect, collaborate and network with fellow local suppliers who have proudly partnered with Rio Tinto over the years.

It was great to see what other local businesses across the region have to offer, while also showcasing our own capabilities and promoting the incredible work our teams deliver day-to-day, whether onsite, offsite, or in our local workshop.

Our Managing Director, Cory Byers, had the opportunity to speak about KBSS’s recent success at the Rio Tinto WA Supplier of the Year Awards. His message was clear - while receiving the award was a significant achievement for KBSS, this success was only made possible through building and developing a strong partnership with Rio Tinto and our commitment to being a trusted local service provider in the Pilbara.

We also ran a competition on the day, won by David from Eire Total Access. Congratulations and enjoy your KBSS merchandise and gift card.

Thanks to Rio Tinto again for hosting such a fantastic event and for continuing to support and celebrate KBSS and other local businesses in the Pilbara.

We had the pleasure of sponsoring a very special round of footy for the Karratha Kats Football & Sporting Club Inc. last weekend.

Round 11 hosted Pink Day 🎀, a round dedicated to raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Special pink guernseys were worn to support the cause, and the players looked magnificent out on the oval.

Our Managing Director, Cory Byers, presented the players of the game with their awards, and was also lucky enough to receive his own pink guernsey from the day!

Thank you to the Kats for hosting such a special day. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout, and to see so much raised for a cause that affects so many of us.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of engaging with students at St Luke's College Karratha as part of their Speed Careering Event!

It was fantastic to take the time to share the individual career journeys of our local team members, talk about KBSS' pathways and opportunities, as well as understand the goals and aspirations of the students.

Thank you to St Luke's College Karratha for hosting us and other local businesses, and to the students for a wonderful morning filled with engaging conversations. 🌟

Following our recent success at the Rio Tinto Supplier Recognition Awards, we had the privilege of taking the Supplier of the Year trophy on tour to share the achievement with some of our crews across Rio Tinto Pilbara sites.

It was fantastic to visit our teams at Cape Lambert and Dampier, to recognise the contribution of the people who helped make this award possible. We took the opportunity to also share a well-deserved spread of food and refreshments as a small gesture of appreciation for their all their hard work in making this award possible.

Thank you to Rio Tinto for the award and the continuous collective effort of our teams, it was great to recognise this success together out in the field. 🙌
