The spiral staircase at Kent Court has been designed as self supporting to be a spring loaded at the base.

The balustrade will be off-formed concrete. To avoid the expense of suspended slabs supporting this weight, it has been diverted to the base of the stairs.

The new extension at Dandenong South will become part of the existing warehouse, which is currently leased by a steel fabrication business.

An interesting feature of this project is the 22 ton crane through the building to allow goods to be lifted within the shed and lowered within the building to allow the existing tenants to move their steel around.

G&P completed the structural and civil design for this warehouse project in Dandenong South. Works include an extension to an existing warehouse, a new canopy, and upgrades to the front office.

Site update: steel is in, drainage pipes and pits are all laid out, concrete slab to be poured next. This massive warehouse is approximately 100m wide, with a soaring height and proportion.
