⚡ PSD LEADING THE WAY IN KIAMA ⚡
Another exciting milestone for Platinum Solar Designs, delivering what we believe to be one of the first residential DC fast-charging installations in Kiama.
This home is now equipped with a Sungrow IDC 60 – 60kW DC fast charger, bringing commercial-level EV charging capability into a residential environment.
But this project goes even further.
The vehicle at this property has also been involved in some of the early V2X approvals through a Sigenergy system — technology that represents the next generation of energy management, where compatible electric vehicles have the potential to become an active part of the home and wider energy ecosystem.
Government support for businesses transitioning to EVs
The NSW Government is currently supporting eligible businesses through its EV Fleets Incentive – Kick-start Funding, helping businesses transition their vehicles and charging infrastructure to electric. (NSW Government)
For eligible applicants, the current FY26 program can provide support for both battery electric vehicles and smart charging infrastructure.
Importantly, eligible DC chargers up to 60kW can receive funding of 50% of eligible costs, up to $30,000 per charging port. (NSW Government)
For businesses operating fleets, trade vehicles, delivery vehicles or other commercial vehicles, this creates a significant opportunity to start moving away from fuel while installing the charging infrastructure required for the future.
