🚨 Payday Super starts 1 July 2026 🚨
From 1 July 2026, employers will be required to pay superannuation at the same time as wages, instead of quarterly.
This means super contributions will need to be made every pay cycle — whether you pay staff weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
What this means:
✅ For employees:
• Greater transparency
• Reduced unpaid super
• Retirement savings grow sooner
✅ For employers:
• Payroll systems will need updating
• Cash flow planning will need adjusting
• Reduced risk of missed deadlines and penalties when managed correctly

🚨 Important: SBSCH is closing 🚨
The ATO’s Small Business Super Clearing House (SBSCH) will close on 30 June 2026.
If you currently use SBSCH, you must transition to another super payment method before this date.
Your options include:
• Payroll software with integrated super payment functions
• Clearing houses offered by super funds
Failing to switch before closure may mean you’re unable to meet your super obligations — which could result in penalties.
