Thereâs a long-term prevalent belief of many home service pros in any niche.
This belief becomes a way of thinking, then a habit.
It impacts every decision:
# The hours they work.
# How they chase leads.
# The culture they create in their business and with their team.
# And it blinds them to how large successful operators perform.
This ingrained belief will be expressed in many ways.
âMost leads are poor qualityâ.
âI don't have any choiceâŚI must work long hours to get everything done.â
âI donât know what my role is anymore.â
âMy team is tired, and I donât know what else to do.â
This decision-making habit which creates a revenue ceilingâŚ
âŚis âEverything relies on me as the owner plus my staff members.â
Contractor-business owners donât burn out because they canât deliver results.
Itâs because there's no system.
Planning is haphazard.
Every week, the owner must crank up the energy on Monday mornings to do it all again and start everything from scratch.
Get the leads. Try and book appointments. Hope they don't waste my time.
So the merry-go-round continuesâŚAnd growth doesn't happen.
Moving from an âowner-centric businessâ to a systemised business is not difficult.
For example, here is a simple process which can turn a business around in a few weeks:
1. Identify 4-6 of the biggest hassles which block revenue and create stress.
2. Write specific step-by-step prioritized task lists and decide who does them.
3. Before starting, implement an automated marketing system.
4. As owner, start upskilling and also training staff members.
For most home service pros at this point, that prevalent belief will storm into their brain like a football team and take control again.
It's time to tell âthat teamâ they're all sacked!
There's a new management and team in town.
One that uses systems which operate 24/7, whether you're on the job, driving, at home after hours or on vacation.
Installing a system like this doesn't need to be expensive and can be done one step at a time.
