Want to get your hot little hands on a $2,000 voucher to work with us? Well, now you can! We are thrilled to announce that our business has been selected as a “Preferred Business Supplier” to participate as a service provider, and you can apply for a $2,000 (+gst) voucher to work with us to help “elevate” your business!

Maribyrnong City Council has refreshed the BID Grants program and introduced a new initiative called the Business Elevate Program. The premise of this new program is to encourage business to business (B2B) interaction, transactions and support within Maribyrnong City. It is launching on 1 December 2021, and further information is available here https://www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au/Business/Business-Events-Programs-and-Grants/Business-Improvement-District-BID-Grant-Program.

A total pool of $70,000 is available for the Business Elevate Program. The program has a selection of local businesses who are located (and registered) in Maribyrnong referred to as “preferred suppliers” to provide their services to other local businesses who need support in order to grow and “elevate” their businesses to the next level.

Our offer, plus a list of all the “Preferred Suppliers” who have been approved to participate in the Business Elevate Program are listed on the Maribyrnong Localised platform (link below). Local businesses within 11 defined categories have provided a description of the products/services which they are able to provide - valued at $2,000 (+gst).

Anyone know these 2 locals?

Seeking two Good Samaritans.⁣

I've never done anything like this before, but my page would be a good platform to start.⁣

Clovis Mwamba (in the middle of the image) has - through Hobsons Bay City Council - reached out to me recently, wanting to find the two Good Samaritans who had helped him over the Christmas 2020.⁣

“On the 2020 eve of Christmas, while on my everyday walk I have fallen over down the hill in the Newport Lakes. I don’t know if I fainted but a young couple come over at my rescue. They helped me standing up and checkout if everything was OK. Anyway, I lost my glasses into the bushes, I said to them I need first to go home and then after, go to the hospital, I insisted. They helped me finding my way out of the Newport Lakes Park and hired a taxi that took me home. All I know from them only is they live in Kingsville.”⁣

For Clovis an elderly man, this was a life changing moment. He was very hurt, scared and alone. The kindness and care of these two people meant he got the health care he needed and he has since thrived. He is hoping to locate them and thank them if they are open to this.⁣

Does anyone within the Inner West and/or Kingsville know the lovely couple?⁣

Clovis wants to connect with you two.⁣

Inner Westies, please help Clovis find this lovely couple.⁣

Every now and then we land on a website that has an overwhelming amount of words. Paragraphs and paragraphs of the stuff. It’s hard to know where to look and most of the time you get overwhelmed.

Whilst the information that people are looking for might actually be there, most speed readers will do a quick scan and then move on.

Pages like this need a serious overhaul! It's time to get your communication in order.

Refine your key messages, move the guts of the information to sub pages to help your customer to be able to find what they are looking for quickly and easily.

Have you got a coat or two gathering dust in the back of the cupboard? Move it on, and support a good cause.

Take a look in your cupboard this weekend - if you have a winter coat you haven't worn in a while that would like a new home, we'd love your support!
