The stage is set for the opening of the Kondinin Shire Through the Lens Photography Exhibition tonight. With 108 entries, including 20 fantastic children’s photographs, there’s no shortage of creativity on display — and plenty of options for the People’s Choice Award. When voting, please remember to include both the category name and the photo number.

A huge thank you to Summer Garlick for mounting the photos, Tammy Garlick for helping with setup, and Amanda Kemp for stepping in when the display needed rearranging. Your efforts have made the exhibition shine.

We also extend our thanks to the Shire of Kondinin and the Kondinin Community Recreation Council for generously donating the prize money.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone tonight — come along, be inspired, and support our local photographers. If you can't make it tonight the exhibition is open from 10am to 3pm , Saturday to Wednesday. Don't forget to look at the amazing artwork in the main hall.

The Kondinin CRC are proud to be a Beyone the Shed "Boots on the Ground" collection point.

Donate your quality second-hand workwear and help WA shearing workers arrive job-ready for Beyond The Shed training and seasonal work.

We're looking for safe, wearable work boots, long-sleeve collared work shirts, work pants or jeans, and high-vis shirts or vests. Items must be clean, functional and in good wearable condition.

Beyond The Shed is a program providing WA shearing teams with training to expand their skills beyond the shearing shed and increase their work opportunities outside of the shearing season.

Drop items at the Kondinin CRC, 3-5 Gordon Street, Kondinin, during our opening hours. Collections are open until the end of October.
