Hi everyone hope everyone has had a great start to 2026 . Here at Kook Harvesting the guys havent had a chance to stop and scratch themselves until it’s rained two days ago and even then it’s time for maintenance in the work shed . Tea tree harvest has been in going for months and will continue for more yet which is great . the dry weather has been great for that side of our business. The trucks have been carting tea tree and woodchip it’s all good keeping the wheels turning not just for us but the tyre shop and the fuel companies too 🤦‍♀️😉 but hey that’s how things work . We are lucky enough to have some great truck drivers working for us as well keeping those trucks moving . So just wanted to pop in with an update and also wish everyone well and hope you all have a great year be it crop growers or tea tree growers . Venessa will no doubt be busy with Matilda this year after seeing lots of great soybeans crops about . anyways take care and don’t forget to stop and just breathe where ever you can 😉

Well there was a break in the weather so we got to start what we do best n get our harvesters n choppers out and got to work . 3 clients with paddocks of rice now harvested by Me it was my first rice harvest and i got the jobs done 😉💪🏻 Its was slow going as rice has plenty of leaf matter even when ripe and anyone whom drives a harvester knows they dont like bulky green material through them 🤦‍♀️. So harvesting at some times 2.5 kms up to a big 3.5 if your lucky . But persistency got those paddocks harvested . Karlton Kristopher and Brandon have been working in shifts to kick start the tea tree chopping as well . Long days and even into the night before the rain decided to fall again , hopefully it doesn’t stay long so we can keep this harvesting moving forwards again , William and Rory have been busy too driving the trucks carting woodchip n tea tree . It’s at this time of year where we all come together and work hard to get the jobs done and keep our clients happy . Here’s to the sun ☀️ coming back out and us all getting back into our machines and moving forward 😉💪🏻

Well that’s another Wheat harvest done and dusted for us . rough start with only a few minor issues but not just us 🤦‍♀️😉 . We all pulled together and helped each other out when needed . The crop was absolutely amazing and mostly standing up ,I did ask for a dry harvest from the big man up stairs and he delivered so couldn’t be happier . It was a pleasure to work with Dan and his family n workers from Days Machinery nothing is ever any trouble . And hey uncle Al if your reading i enjoyed our banter and loved Sally backing me up 🤣🤣🤣.. Anyways onto hopefully a new property next season with people just as great to work with . 😎

Thank you to you and Sally for getting this video together we had a great time doing it and will stick with the kook harvesting crew as one of the best highlights of the whole year .

Well it’s that time of year again when everyone in our kook harvesting family are madly pulling our harvesters apart n giving them a good going over ,because wheat harvest starts this coming week. Matilda got her stickers this week and I’m super excited with how they turned out 😎 Karlton not so much 😂 but too bad she’s my header so my style ,she will stand out in the fields now . Hopefully her new heart is ready to be worked for long hours .
Here’s to having a dry smooth run out west this harvest . We will have 3 headers there this year n Brandon is taking the newest addition to the fleet with the Volvo tipper , Kristopher will also be joining us
and he will be driving Frank n ombré will drive the old girl the 1680 . And of course me driving Matilda and she best not take up smoking this year again 😉 hoping her new heart hasnt got that filthy habit like her old one , Karlton will be our chaser bin driver n support team when needed .
Each year has been different but one thing remains the same we all love our time out there and working with the family whom have the property n their workers as well . lots of laughs n all helping out where ever they are needed . So let’s all ask for sunny days n clear skies at night as we will be doing 15 to 17 hour days to get the crop off , I will make sure i get plenty of pics up n a few videos to let you all see how a wheat harvest happens , hopefully like clock work this year ,

Well it’s been a little while since we popped in for a chat . How’s everyone going ? How has everyone been handling this weather ? I know we have had enough of the wet and some much needed sunshine would be appreciated so hey Huey please sends us some 😉.. we managed to get all but 20acres of the soybeans we had to harvest around the place before this last lot of rain pulled us up . I must say they all were pretty good crops considering the weather they grew through so good on the growers . Everyone’s paddocks were w**d free and lovely and level making my job easier 😉.. Matilda our 2188 if you don’t know whom she is ,on the other hand decided she’d had enough and took herself out of race for a little bit and in spectacular fashion right on the highway n had to thumb a ride with a tow truck 🤦‍♀️😂 but hey I’ve had words n told her I’m not allowed to retire and either is she so rest for a bit then it’s back to work 😉. So when Karlton gets time she will get her heart transplant n get ready for wheat season later in the year ..
tea tree season has started and one job done and dusted n two more to do later on. The two trucks old Bob and Ted have also been busy carting wood chip n soybeans . Karlton has enjoyed his time in old Bob delivering the soybeans and no doubt had memories of old Bob Alcorn each time he unloaded the truck . William has been flat out in Ted keeping that side of our business cruising along nicely .
This season we had all of us on board getting the harvest done n tea tree with both Kristopher and Brandon helping out . I couldn’t be prouder of how our sons step in when we need them so thanks Boys . Today Brandon also up graded his truck license so he can now get in old Bob and help out even more .
Anyways I hope everyone stays dry happy and healthy until the next season of crops that need harvesting when we hope to help you all out . We appreciate your support . 😉
