A $5000 cap doesn't cover the cost of sacrifice.

I served this country. I know what that costs — not just in the moment, but in the years after, when the pain doesn't switch off and the appointments never really stop. So when I heard the government was capping allied health support at $5000 a year, it hit close to home. This isn't a policy line to me. It's personal.

That cap doesn't come close to covering what it actually takes to look after us — the ongoing treatment, the specialists, the care that shouldn't stop just because a number's been reached. I've seen mates struggle to get help even before this. I don't want to watch it get harder.

And what makes it worse is watching Veterans' Affairs Minister Matt Keogh defend this instead of fighting it. Reports say he initially declined to meet with veteran advocates at Parliament House over the cap, citing diary issues — while the people this decision affects were left waiting. If you can't make time for the vets you're meant to represent, who exactly is standing up for us?
Wellington Times

Our vets gave everything with no cap on their sacrifice. We deserve better than a cap on our care — and a minister who shows up.

Remove the cap. Respect our vets.

Share this. Tag a mate. Talk to your local MP. The more people who know, the harder it is for this to slide through unnoticed.

This shirt design is personal to me — I made it to help spread the message and stand up for people like me. Grab one for $35 — inbox me or head to tcjsublimation.com

🇦🇺 A $5000 cap doesn't cover the cost of sacrifice. 🇦🇺

I served this country. I know what it costs — not just in the moment, but in the years after, when the support you need doesn't just switch off. So when I heard about this $5000 cap from the DVA, it hit close to home. It's not just a policy to me, it's personal.

That cap doesn't come close to covering what it actually takes to look after veterans — the ongoing treatment, the support, the care that shouldn't stop just because a number's been reached. I've seen mates struggle. I don't want to see anyone else fall through the cracks because of a dollar limit.

Our vets gave everything with no cap on their sacrifice. We deserve better than a cap on our care.

Remove the cap. Respect our vets.
