Important Notice.- 3G mobile network retirement!

Optus have announced that progressively from May 2022 they will be closing their 3Gnetwork, we have already noticed some areas have lost their 3G coverage.

Telstra have announced that they will close their 3G by May 2024.
What does this mean to you and what impact will it have?
As your GPRS is a 3G device, when the network is switched off in your area your alarm will no longer be able to communicate with the control room and they control room will no longer be able to monitor your premises.

Morey will need to replace the 3G device with a 4G device, it is not something that any handyman can do.

Action Required
Call our Service Department on 9440 5599 and ask to book in an upgrade for your GPRS.

The holiday season is upon us. Shopping, wrapping, gift-giving, and holiday parties mark a time of fun, family, and feasting. However, it’s important to note that home invasions and theft increase markedly during this time.
If you are lucky enough to be going away on holidays you can reduce the risk of unlawful entry into your premises by taking a few extra precautions and by giving your premises a lived in look.

*Ask your neighbours to keep an eye on your premise
*Organize for the mail to be collected or held at Australia Post
*Organize someone to mow the lawns if away for an extended period
*Stop any delivery of papers
*Ensure sensor lights are working and installed at a height out of reach
*Install a timer on a radio or TV and a light inside so that this can be heard or seen from outside
*Leave a spare key with neighbours or friends that can be trusted and DO NOT hide it on your property
*Remove any lose items that can be used to gain entry eg rakes, shovels, wheelie bins, ladders
*Lock all manholes that are accessible from outside including under your home
*Disconnect / disengage electric garage doors and engage them manually
*Turn down or unplug your telephone - this does not affect your alarm
*Ensure any easy to carry and expensive items are stored out of site from windows
*Ensure your alarm is working by testing it with your control room
*Advise the control room you are going away and update any afterhours contacts
*Lock your electrical meter box
*Do not post any information about your travels on Facebook or other internet social pages
