If you want to uncover unsanctioned cloud apps, don’t start with a policy. Start with
visibility.
Most cloud environments don’t match the IT diagram. They’re built through small shortcuts
– a file share, a free tool, an AI feature quietly enabled inside an app you already use.
In this video, we’ll show you how to uncover unsanctioned cloud apps without driving them
further underground.
In 2026, scale is the problem. Employees use far more apps than IT expects, and AI
features are now embedded directly into everyday tools.
Blocking everything doesn’t work. It just pushes usage out of sight. Instead, begin with
discovery. Review identity logs, endpoint data, browser activity and SaaS settings to see
what’s actually in use.
Then assess risk. What data is involved? How is it shared? Who has access?
Finally, tag and act. Approve what’s safe. Restrict what needs limits. Replace or block
what creates unacceptable risk.
When you shift from guessing to governing, cloud sprawl becomes manageable.
If you’re ready to build a practical cloud app governance process, contact us today. https://servicemax.com.au/contact/
