Now is the time to get onto the spraying of Cape w**d before it flowers so you have a better chance at killing it, as long as there is a day of good fine weather generally 6 hours and no rain thats imminent so the chemical that is used (which is called double time) can take affect

Howdy all, now is the time to prune the apricots, it deemed to be far better to prune them than in the winter and i tend agree because you can see where and how much and many branches that need to be pruned and even be removed, remember though prune it to look like a bowl with centre leaders taken out to let the air and sun in as well as any branches that are criss-crossing also any growth at the base of tree to be removed in fact if any of your fruit trees have suckers remove them and the tree will be thankful for it lol, also now is the time to thin out your lemon tree with criss-crossing branches and feed with a complete citrus food and make sure you reduce the amount of fruit on it

Now that the apricot, nectarines,peaches and cherry plums and plums having finished fruiting it is ideal to give a prune this is because you can see where and what branches to cut back so give it a go or get someone in who knows what to do
