With Saturday night’s event almost sold out, now is the time to secure your seat at one of our favourite winter traditions.

As the depths of winter settle over the Adelaide Hills, there’s nothing quite like gathering around the table with a glass of great Pinot Noir. And when it comes to cool-climate Pinot, it simply has to be Lenswood.

If you’re looking for a last-minute Sunday outing, our Cellar Door and Restaurant are open from 11am–5pm today (wine tastings available until 4pm).

Some of you may already have had the pleasure of meeting Belinda, our fabulous Restaurant Manager. But for those who haven’t, we thought it was about time we introduced you.

After a small amount of convincing (and promises that I wouldn’t make this too embarrassing), Belinda let me take her photo and answer a few questions that I’m sure you’ve all been dying to know…

🍷 Your favourite Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard wine is our Gamay (obviously). Why?
“I love how well it works with food. It’s the kind of wine that just makes everything taste better.”

❤️ If you could share a bottle of wine with anyone, who would it be?
“My dad. I’ve moved interstate and don’t get to see him regularly, and there’s no one I’d rather share a good bottle of red with.”

🍄 What’s your favourite dish on our current menu?
“The mushroom risotto. It’s the ultimate comfort food for me.”

🎶 What’s playing on your drive home after service?
“Blame Brett” – The Beaches.

As we prepare to welcome a new season and a new menu, we’re taking a moment to celebrate what has been a very special month of dining at Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard.

Our May menu has showcased some of Head Chef John Clements-Simpson’s favourite dishes, including the crowd-favourite Cherry Bakewell Soufflé — a dessert inspired by childhood memories and one that has quickly become a favourite amongst our guests.

To celebrate International Chardonnay Day, we’re opening the cellar door archives this weekend only with The Chardonnay Archives — a rare vertical tasting of our Old Apple Block Chardonnay from 2010 through to 2021.

A chance to explore over a decade of vintages side by side, and experience how season, site and time shape each wine in completely different ways.

Whether you love Chardonnay lean and mineral, rich and textural, young and vibrant or beautifully aged — this weekend is for the people who love Chardonnay as much as we do.
