Happy Birthday to my wonderful Dad. If only I could hear the sound of your voice. I miss the quiet times. I miss your hugs . I miss you saying my name. Its eight years since you left my heart has not healed. We lost the real you much earlier and I am still angry at the disease that stole you and left a shell with no memories. I miss you Dad even when you forgot who I was I loved you and I always will - Thank you for the wonderful memories I hold so tight. I love you

I have to vent ---- In the 1980s I was given a family tree. I took it as gospel as the research by a relative who was a member of LDS. I had committed the rookie error of not verifying the information for myself. I occupied myself with other family lines. It wasn't until I was planning a research trip to the UK I decided to revisit the research and verify the information for myself. BANG.........all those years of research down the toilet. My Thomas on his marriage certificate to his second wife had given his parents as Sarah and Thomas not John and Demaris. There is a son Thomas born to Demaris and John but he died in UK in 1849. There is also a son Thomas born to Sarah and Thomas who married my great great grandmother in Fryerstown in 1862....... I am so angry that I did not see this earlier so now I start again and change my travel plans somewhat WHAT A BUMMER.......... The lesson is check double check and check again and accept nothing unless you can prove it yourself

Have to brag I have just cracked a genealogy missing persons case 9 decades old. Tracked from South Africa to England to Australia . He was hiding in plain sight GOTCHCA!!!!!!!! so so excited Doing a happy dance Now the family can have closure

I almost never ask people to share but please if you can share this post I would be grateful . Knowledge is power and the more we educate people the more we know the greater the chance of more research . Some famous people who have died as a result of Lewy Body are Robin Williams - Dina Merrill - and Tom Seaver- James Elliot- Estelle Getty -Gary Wright and the list goes on I will add another name to that list Norm Morse my beloved father. I miss him every day and grieve for what we lost But never would I want him back with that disease It stole my Dad long before his heart ceased to beat. Today would have been Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary. Married at St Marys RC West Melboure 3.30pm 18th January 1947. Photo taken Dover Studio Holmes Road Moonee Ponds and their reception was at magnificent Edenhope which was built in by Augustus Jones in 1878-79 on a wonderful location at the crest of the hill on Maribyrnong Road, overlooking the Saltwater River.
Dad passed away 17th January 2015 - Miss him every day
And thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and cards for the 15th I had a great day with our children and grandchildren Busy month January too many memories
