Do you hold a Partner (provisional) (subclass 309) or Partner (temporary) (subclass 820) visa?

If two years have passed since you first applied for your Partner visas, you can now submit your information for the permanent stage of your Partner visa.

Make sure you provide all required information with your application. Applications with all required information can be processed faster.
Where information is required, the Department will provide you with an opportunity to submit further information; however, follow up requests will not routinely be issued, and a decision may be made based on the information available once the response timeframe has expired.

We're currently monitoring the situation and working with key partners such as Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Here’s what you need to know:

- As with all non-citizens, people impacted by the situation in Iran can apply for an Australian visa that best suits their circumstances.
- Do not attend an Embassy or Department office in person to lodge an application.
- Internet outages in Iran may cause delays, but applications can still be lodged online when possible.
- We understand some clients may not be able to provide everything needed right now, and we will continue to work with applicants as circumstances allow.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has opened a crisis registration portal for Australians in Israel, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

The portal is for Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family members who have the right of entry into Australia.

If you are in one of these locations and are eligible, please register at https://crisis.dfat.gov.au. DFAT will contact registered Australians directly with the latest information and advice.

We are working closely with airlines and the travel industry to identify commercial flight options once airspace reopens. The quickest way to help large numbers of Australians return home will be through the resumption of commercial flights.

أدلت "بيتسي كول" البالغة من العمر ثلاثة عشر عاماً بشهادتها خلف ساتر خشبي في قاعة محكمة في 22 أكتوبر 1935، واصفة كيف اشتراها "هوارد ميتشل" (49 عاماً) من والدها مقابل 100 دولار، وتزوجها، لمدة ثمانية أشهر قبل أن تتمكن من الهـ. رب.
● وقد شهدت بيتسي من خلف الساتر حتى لا تضطر للنظر إلى هوارد وهي تصف ما فعله بها، وكانت هذه هي المرة الأولى في التاريخ القانوني للولاية التي يُسمح فيها لشاهد طفل بالإدلاء بشهادته دون مواجهة المتـ. هم. وأدت شهادة بيتسي -التي أدلت بها بصوت يرتـ.جف ولكنه مصمم من خلف الساتر- إلى إد.انة هوارد بالاغـ.تصـ.اب القانوني والحكم عليه بالسـ. جن ثلاث سنوات.
● كما أرست قضية بيتسي سابقة قانونية تسمح للشهود الأطفال في قضايا الاعـ.تداء الجنـ. سي بالشهادة دون مواجهة معـ. تديهم، وساهمت القضية في تغيير قوانين زواج الأطفال في الولايه ، برفع الحد الأدنى للسن واشتراط موافقة قضائية على الزيجات التي تشمل قاصـ.رين.
● كان والد بيتسي قد باعها لهوارد في فبراير 1935 عندما كانت في الثانية عشرة من عمرها؛ فقد كان والدها -وهو مزارع مستأجر لديه ستة أطفال ويكاد لا يملك دخلاً و بحاجة إلى المال لشراء بذور لزراعة المحاصيل الربيعية، فقام هوارد بعرض 100 دولار مقابل بيتسي بالإضافة إلى وعد بتوظيف إخوتها في أعمال المزارع.
● قبل والد بيتسي العرض، وأُخبرت بيتسي يوم السبت أنها ستتزوج يوم الاثنين، ولم يُؤخذ رأيها فيما إذا كانت تريد الزواج من هوارد؛ فقد كانت في الثانية عشرة من عمرها، ولم يكن للأطفال آراء تُسمع عند بيعهم.
● أقيم حفل الزفاف في مزرعة هوارد، وارتدت بيتسي فستاناً كانت ترتديه سابقا في عيد ميلادها ، بينما ارتدى هوارد (ملابسه الرسمية)، وأتمّ مراسم الزواج قاضي صلح.
● رددت بيتسي الوعود التي أُمرت بترديدها دون ان تفهم ما تقول وفي تلك الليلة اغـ. تصـ.ب هوارد بيتسي -اغـ. تصـ.ب طفلة في الثانية عشرة صٓـ.رخت وبكت وتوسلت إليه.. رفضت فضُـ. ربت حتى الإغـ.ماء فأخبرها هوارد بعد ان فاقت أن هذا واجبها كزوجة وأن القانون يمنحه هذا الحق. ولمدة ثمانية أشهر، تحملت بيتسي اعتـ.دا.ءات هوارد وسيطرته وإصراره على أن كل ما يفعله بها قانوني ولائق لأنها زوجته.
● هـ. ربت بيتسي في أكتوبر 1935 بعد أن ضـ. ربها هوارد حتى فقـ. دت وعيها في كل مرة ..وخلال مشادة حول رغبتها في زيارة عائلتها.
● استيقظت بيتسي وحيدة -بعد أن غادر هوارد إلى المدينة- فحزمت حقيبة صغيرة وهـ.ربت. مشت بيتسي ستة عشر ميلاً إلى مأوى للنساء كانت جارتها ذكرته يوما ، وأخبرت بيتسي النساء في المأوى بما حدث، فاتصلن بمحامٍ متخصص في قضايا حماية الطفل، ووافق المحامي على مساعدة بيتسي في توجيه اتهـ.امات ضد هوارد.
● وصلت القضية إلى المحاكمة واستدعى المدعي العام بيتسي كشاهدة، لكن بيتسي أصـ.يبت بالـ.ذعر عندما رأته هوارد في قاعة المحكمة؛ ضاق صدرها واصبحت غير قادرة على التنفس وبدأت في البكاء ولم تستطع الكلام.
● طلب المدعي العام من القاضي استراحة وتحدث مع بيتسي على انفراد، فقالت: "لا أستطيع النظر إليه. لا يمكنني الشهادة إذا كان عليّ النظر إليه. لا أستطيع". اقترح المدعي العام حلاً غير عادي: أن تشهد بيتسي من خلف ساتر حتى لا تراه ولا يراها.
● اعتـ.رض محامي هوارد، قائلاً إن للمتهم الحق في مواجهة من يتهمـ.ه، لكن المدعي العام جادل بأن طفلة في الثالثة عشرة ضـ. حية اغتـ. صاب لا ينبغي إجـ.بارها على مواجهة
مغتـ. صبها أثناء وصف ما فعله بها، فوافق القاضي وسمح بوضع الساتر.
● أدلت بيتسي بشهادتها من خلف ساتر خشبي وُضع بين منصة الشهود وطاولة هوارد؛ فلم تكن بيتسي تراه، وكان بإمكانه سماعها دون رؤيتها. روت بيتسي للمحكمة كل شيء: وكيف كان يضـ.ربها قبل الاغتـ .صا.ب كي تفقد وعيها
،ووصفت بيع والدها لها، والزفاف، والاغـ .تـ.صاب بالضـ. رب المبرج في ليلة الزفاف وكل ليلة تلتها، ورعـ.ب العيش مع هوارد، والهـ. روب. كان صوتها يرتـ.جف وبـ.كت كثيراً، لكنها أنهت شهادتها بالكامل، كلمة بكلمة، من خلف ذلك الساتر حيث لم تضطر لرؤية وجه هوارد.
● أدانت هيئة المحلفين هوارد بعد مداولات استمرت 45 دقيقة، وحكم عليه القاضي بالسـ. جن ثلاث سنوات؛ وهو حكم مخفف بالمعايير الحديثة ولكنه كان غير مسبوق عام 1935 لرجل أدين باغتـ. صاب زوجته القانونية.
● قال القاضي: "تقر هذه المحكمة بأن الزواج لا يمنح الزوج الحق في اغتـ. صاب طفلة.
● كانت الآنسة كول في الثانية عشرة عندما تزوجها السيد ميتشل، وهي الآن في الثالثة عشرة. إنها طفلة، والسيد ميتشل مغتـ. صب استخدم الزواج كغطاء قانوني لجـ.رائمه، وسينال عقـ. ابه".
● تم استئناف إد.انـ.ة هوارد ولكن أُيِّد الحكم، وأكدت محكمة الاستئناف تحديداً على قانونية استخدام الساتر، وحكمت بأن الشهود الأطفال في قضايا الاعتـ. داء الجـ. نسي يمكنهم الشهادة دون مواجهة المتهم إذا كانت المواجهة ستسبب
ضـ. رراً نفسياً شديداً.
● أصبح هذا الحكم سابقة قانونية استُخدمت في هذه الولايه وولايات أخرى لحماية الشهود الأطفال، واستُـ. شهد بقضية بيتسي في عشرات القضايا اللاحقة المتعلقة بشهادات الأطفال في محاكمات مشابهه...
● عاشت بيتسي كول حتى عام 1998 وتوفيت عن عمر يناهز السادسة والسبعين. لم تتزوج بيتسي قط، قائلة إنها لم تستطع بعد ما فعله هوارد، لكنها عاشت حياة حافلة؛ عملت ممرضة وأمضت عقوداً في الدفاع عن القوانين التي تحمي الأطفال من الزواج القسري.
● وفي جنازة بيتسي، قال محامٍ عمل في قضايا حماية الطفل: "كانت بيتسي كول في الثانية عشرة عندما باعها والدها لرجل يبلغ من العمر تسعة وأربعين عاماً. كانت في الثالثة عشرة عندما شهدت خلف ساتر في قاعة المحكمة، واصفة الاغـ تـ. صاب والإسـ .اءة التي تعرضت لها.
● ساعدت شهادتها في إدانة مغـ .تصبها وفي تغيير القانون لحماية الشهود الأطفال الآخرين. شهدت بيتسي من خلف ساتر لأنها لم تطق النظر إلى الرجل الذي اغتـ. صبها، وأصبح ذلك الساتر رمزاً لحماية الشهود الأطفال.
● إن شجاعة بيتسي -بالشهادة رغم ّرعـ .بها ورغم عدم قدرتها على النظر إليه- أنقـ. ذت أطفالاً آخرين من مواجهة معـ. تديهم في المحكمة.
● كانت بيتسي في الثالثة عشرة عندما شهدت، وقد غيرت القانون. تلك هي الشجاعة الحقيقيه.

Permanent Partner visas are not granted automatically.

If you hold a Temporary Partner (subclasses 820 or 309) visa and it has been two years since you lodged your application, you may be eligible to apply for the permanent Partner visa (subclasses 801 or 100).

At this stage you will need to:
✔️ Log into your ImmiAccount and start your permanent application
✔️ Provide updated evidence of your ongoing and genuine relationship
✔️ Provide updated police clearances from Australia and any overseas countries lived in for 12 months or more since the initial application.
✔️ Complete a new health assessment (if requested).

New laws mean you can no longer apply for a Student visa or Student Guardian visa while in Australia if you’re on a Visitor, Temporary Graduate or Maritime Crew visa.

Frequent Traveller Stream (FTS) visa eligibility has expanded! 🙌

From today, eligible passport-holders from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Member States and Timor-Leste can apply for a FTS visa.

The Frequent Traveller Stream of the Visitor (subclass 600) visa allows for stays up to three months over grant periods up to 10 years. All applicants will need to meet the relevant criteria and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
