Earlier this week, I was honoured for our City to take part in the Social Enterprise World Forum as an exhibition and tour partner.

International delegates from Canada’s Buy Social, Scotland’s Highlands & Islands Enterprise and representatives from England, visited some key social enterprises in the City of Logan, including Substation33, yourtown, The Centre for Women & Co. and Spirits of the Red Sand.

Social enterprises play an important role in our city by generating positive social outcomes and have even put us on the world map. I am grateful to all of our local social enterprises as they have provided valuable opportunities for so many people in our city.

It was a privilege to welcome you all and to join in on the tour to show you first hand, the unique work our city is doing.

We’re another step closer to the 10km rail trail from Bethania to Logan Village.

This year’s budget includes funding to construct the rail trail.

The Palaszczuk Government budget is delivering projects to support our great lifestyle here in Logan.

Becoming a philanthropist is this easy! Little did we know this morning, we would have two wonderful women make their way down to Substation to change the lives of many Logan families.

Just having moved into a retirement village, they wanted to invest some extra cash and make some social change. Donating $0000 will help local families be prepared for Term 4, after what has been a challenging year of homeschooling, online learning, and transitioning back on campus.

You too can change the lives of many - Call us, or drop in and make your donation via cash or EFTPOS. Help us cross the digital divide and link families in Logan with much-needed technology.
