Good morning everyone,

I won't be washing bins again today due to the rain and my shoulder still being sore from the skin cancer removal on Monday. I'm barely able to hang washing out so can't see myself lifting bins and using the high pressure sprayer for any length of time. Sorry.

Good morning all,

I won't be washing bins today because I had a large skin cancer (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) removed from the top of my left shoulder yesterday. The resulting 75mm plus wound is very sore and I fear that the movement I do to lift bins and operate the high pressure sprayer will tear my stitches. Also, it's just started to rain and I can't get the wound wet so best I don't go outside at all today.

I apologise for the inconvenience and will as always credit your account for the missed wash. I hope to return to your regular service next fortnight.

I'm trialling a new sequence in today's run. I normally do the lower part of Shailer Park in the afternoon before going up to Kimberley rise, today I will do it the other way around. So if you're in the lower part of Shailer Park can you please leave your bins out until dark for me, thanks. If this sequence works it'll be permanent.

CHRISTMAS 2025 MESSAGE:

Ho! Ho! Ho! With only 4 more sleeps until Santa comes, I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the festive season be happy, healthy, and safe for one and all.

I WILL be working through the festive period this year with the exception of Christmas day. Those who miss their wash this Thursday will have their accounts credited for the missed wash. Sorry for the inconvenience.

With the heat of summer, it's an excellent idea to freeze meat scraps until the night before bin day then put them in the bin. This helps minimise the smell that attracts flies and those horrid maggots.

If you're not going to have your bin out for me to clean over the holidays and coming year, can you please let me know so I don't come to your place unnecessarily. Thanks.

Finally, I'd like to make a special wish that all the elves trapped in the back of people's cars, escape and get the urgent medical attention they need on their poor little legs. 🤣

Follow up on P.A. procedure last fortnight:

Thanks for all your support and kind wishes following my post a fortnight ago.

The procedure I underwent was targeted radiation therapy to my T3 nerve at the base of my brain. This was needed because the nerve pain in my jaw had returned and was getting worse. It's probably too early to say for sure that it has worked but at this stage I'm feeling an 80% reduction in the level of pain. Hopefully by Christmas I'll know for sure that it's been successful and I can start to wean myself off the toxic medications I take as much as possible.

There'll be NO bin cleaning this coming Tuesday 2nd December. I'm booked into the P.A. hospital for a full day long procedure to reduce the nerve pain in my jaw. If the procedure works it can take 3 weeks to take effect so fingers crossed.

As usual, anyone who has their bin cleaning missed on Tuesday will have their account credited and their normal service resume next fortnight. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'll be finishing work early today to attend my youngest son Lochie's high school award ceremony and graduation. If I don't get your bin/s washed I'll credit your account for the missed wash and resume your regular service next fortnight.

Some of you may remember how we collected bottles and cans to help him go overseas to play futsal. He's now about to close a very important chapter in his life story. He has already begun to open the next chapter, he wants to be a police officer and has sat the exam and passed. I am so proud of him and will not be missing his graduation for quids.
