📢 Fair Work Update: National Minimum Wage Increase from 1 July 2026

The Fair Work Commission has announced a 4.75% increase to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award wages, effective from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2026.

From 1 July 2026:
💰 $1,004.90 per week
💰 $26.44 per hour

What this means for employers:
✅ Review your payroll systems and employee pay rates.
✅ Ensure award rates are updated before your first full pay period from 1 July.
✅ Check that all employees are being paid in accordance with the updated minimum wage and applicable awards.

🚨 Payday Super Starts 1 July 2026 – Is Your Business Ready?

From 1 July 2026, employers must pay superannuation contributions on every payday, replacing the current quarterly payment system.

Security businesses should start preparing now by:
✅ Reviewing payroll and cash flow processes
✅ Confirming payroll software is ready
✅ Checking employee information is accurate
✅ Understanding the new payment timeframes
✅ Preparing for the closure of the ATO Small Business Super Clearing House

📅 Key Dates
• 30 June 2026 – SBSCH closes
• 1 July 2026 – Payday Super begins
• 28 July 2026 – Final quarterly super payment due

You can use this checklist to assess your current practices.
Completing the checklist should identify areas where you may not be compliant or need improvement.
