SLED is seeking industry feedback to implement a new Class 1G (Guard Cat Handler) licence subclass. It has been suggested that guard dogs aren’t judgemental or aloof enough for certain patrolling tasks. The new subclass will authorise licensees to patrol, protect or guard any property with a cat. You forgot to renew your licence and it’s been more than 90 days since your licence expired. Unfortunately, we’ve got bad news! If your licence has been expired for more than 90 days, you can no longer renew it. ASIO raises National Terrorism Threat level from Possible to PROBABLE

ASIO has today raised the National Terrorism Threat level from Possible to PROBABLE, meaning there is credible intelligence, assessed to represent a plausible scenario, indicate an intention and capability to conduct a terrorist attack.

Organisations are urged to review their current security arrangements and Risk Assessments to determine how the lifting of the threat level may impact their business.
