🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of Max Potential in the Central West!
The 2026 Max Potential program has wrapped up after six months of personal growth, leadership, community connection and youth-led projects, and this year’s celebration at Club Mudgee marked a 20 years of Max Potential in the Central West! 💙
This year, 16 Young Adults were supported by volunteer Community Coaches, with students from Dubbo College, Gulgong High School, Kandos High School, Mudgee High School and St Matthews Catholic School developing confidence, resilience and leadership skills while creating projects to address issues they care about in their communities.
For Bowdens Silver Community Coach Christine Shearman, one of the highlights has been seeing the incredible transformation of Kandos High School student Jacob Kiely. Over the past six months, Jacob’s confidence, resilience and positivity have grown significantly, helping him develop a genuine “can do” attitude.
Jacob also put those skills into action through his Community Service Project, Tap, Swipe, Connect, helping older residents at Rylstone Hospital feel more confident using smartphones and staying connected with loved ones.
“I see a massive transformation in these young adults’ lives through this program. It promotes growth, confidence, resilience and community engagement, and inspires them to do things they didn’t believe were possible.” – Christine Shearman
Congratulations to all 16 Young Adults on their graduation, and to the incredible volunteer Community Coaches, schools, families, sponsors and community supporters who have helped make their journey possible.
Here’s to 20 years of empowering young people across the Central West! 🎓✨Max Potential
