El Desperado Wines In 2011 our vintage at The Pawn Wine Co. succumbed to the elements 6 weeks out from harvest. A whole new posse was born.

Desperate I made with with what we could salvage, a Tempranillo and Sangiovese.

Cold weather calls for warming reds and fireside hangs. El Desperado Shiraz is a full bodied wine that can be both a drink now style or cellar nicely for the medium term if you can hold out. 😉

Bright with raspberry & cola. Chock full of earthiness, ripe plum and blackcurrants with soft, long tannins.

The fruit for the El Desperado Shiraz is a blend from both Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek vineyards. As the crow flies its only 20 kms between these blocks.
