Rocket aka In The Fast Lane is racing tomorrow again at Morphettville, this time over 1800m. Apprentice Dylan Caboche is on him this time to get some weight off his back as he was given 59.5 kg.
Is Race 7 at 5.37 pm SA time for those who are interested....good luck Rocket man and Kerrie

18/01/2017

Ventured down to Morphettville today to watch Rocket (In The Fast Lane) race today, his second start this time over 1550m.
The lad did it again, winning this time by 1.6 lengths ridden perfectly by Dom Tourneur who got off him saying he knew he had it won at the 600m and said he was the consummate relaxed stayer that went when he asked him to.
Big future for the lad.....to come back out and win his second start after winning his maiden is super....and he is yet to hit his straps with his distance yet.
Again I cant thank Kerrie Van Tijn enough for her masterful management of the big dork...she has had the patience of a saint and is being rewarded.
We may have a cups horse..... :)

a good day at the races yesterday with In The Fast Lane (aka Rocket) who is out of Shell I Swing winning on debut at Murray Bridge as 4yo.
Kudos to his trainer Kerrie Van Tijn who has been very patient with Rocket, he is nearly 17 hands and has needed time both mentally and physically to mature which Kerrie has given him.
She has reaped the rewards now with no doubt this the first of more wins to come when he gets over more ground.
Exciting times ahead :)

Well Leo (Itz Invincible) had an official 1000m trial which he won after coming out of the gates like a rocket, very promising :) Even more promising was that he beat a couple of stakes horses that have won around 300k each. Fingers crossed he gets a trouble free prep this time in.

21/09/2016

great run by Centauro on Tuesday to run second at Dubbo after being absolutely slaughtered by the jockey. Normally quick out the gates he missed the kick to settle last then was taken out so wide he was nearly in the carpark to pick up the field to get beaten .8 of a length by the winner who had a cruisy run. Should have won but never mind....shows how much grit the lad has.
He is now 6 starts for 2 wins 2 seconds 1 third and a fifth.

Centauro is nominated for Race 1 at Moonee Valley on Wednesday he has drawn Barrier 6 with Linda Meech to ride. The track at the valley should suit him and with more rain coming fingers crossed he can earn us some Vobis bonus :)
Streetcar Heaven has earnt himself a 3 month holiday after running a gutsy 4th but bleeding from both nostrils :( Fingers crossed he comes back ok from his enforced holiday with no more bleeds or that will be it for his racing career.....

29/06/2016

Another good week so far for the farm with Centauro running 2nd by .4 of a length at Wagga on Monday and Streetcar Heaven winning a trial yesterday by 2 lengths. He should be running again very soon.
Both boys by Stryker, another one we bred in the same year Clever Stryk is also a winner up in Queensland :)
