Rural Business Support

Rural Business Support Financial counselling service & educational programs for primary producers and small business owners

Rural Business Support commenced operations in September 2006, as a state wide rural financial counselling service, trading as Rural Financial Counselling Service SA. Since operations commenced, the Service has remained flexible in its approach to provide assistance to primary producers to better manage change and adjustment. RBS works with its clients to plan for the future, to be better prepared

for climate variability and manage through periods of economic difficulties. The RBS Projects Division was created to look for ways to collaborate with government and industry to better support a strong and resilient primary industries sector.

📍WHERE ARE WE? WEDNESDAY 📸 //

This week the team has been out and about connecting with communities, industry and small businesses.

We’ve been in Mildura attending the ASVO wine grape seminar hosted by Willow & Ivie, bringing together viticulture specialists, researchers and growers to share practical insights and industry knowledge for the wine grape sector.

In the South East, we’ve kicked off the Small Business “Connect, Learn and Network” events in Bordertown, with more regional events to come, so make sure you keep an eye out for your local session.

Closer to home, staff are feeling inspired with new farming experiments of their own. Good luck with the artichokes Harry! 🌱

There’s been blue skies up north, grey skies down south, and a few roadside stops along the way, including a hopeful stop at the Spirit of Flinders Bakery in Quorn, only to find they had sold out for the day. Disappointing to miss out, but a great sign for a busy regional small business.

The crops are starting to green up across parts of the regions, with plenty hoping this season continues heading in the right direction.

Wherever we are across SA and the NT, we’re out there supporting farmers, fishers, landholders and rural small businesses every step of the way. 🌾🤝
