▪️Thought I had better introduce myself.. I'm Brianna [pronounced *Bry-anna* but I answer to anything 😉]

▪️I am a mum of 2 girls & wife of a very *supportive* husband 🤣 We live in Bendigo... I coach my daughters local netball teams... We love caravanning in our spare time and maybe one day get to finishing our backyard 🤞

▪️Administration has been my jam for at over 15 years, working in different facets. I have worked in administration for a construction company for the past 4 years. I have really loved working in the construction industry and have seen the same problems over and over again with Tradies. So that's where the idea of The Modern Assistant came. I thought I could help out Tradies/ Builders with admin without the headache of an extra employee.

So you have the logo, colours & tag line that your brand represents but is it consistent over all of your social media, business documents, invoices & business cards? Don't ya love it when you see a tradie business just *nailing* branding? Umm, or is that just me 🤔🤣⁠

➡️ The *best* way of conveying what your brand/ business is is by showing it visually. Don't you think you have more of a chance that a potential client will click into your social media/ website if it is all super profesh and looking *smack bang* perfect 👌 YEAH you do!

➡️ I can design up anything for you 🧐 So think social media graphics/ posts, adding logos to business documents, making sure your invoice has all the correct info plus logo or setting up a email signature including your logo or even print like brochures or business cards (do we still love business cards?? I do!!) Oh & I'm also great at ordering uniforms 😉⁠

➡️ Make sure you are using folders & labels for emails to pop straight into a 'read later' pile. We get *absolutely* inundated with emails, that we tend to lose the important ones. With sorting your email folders/ labels then those emails will land away from your inbox but will still be unread so you can come back when you have time to read them... Then the most important emails will still be in your inbox so you can read them asap! ⁠

➡️ UNSUBSCRIBE! Man! How many *freaking* sites do we sign up to? It's crazy how many emails I get on a daily basis that I don't need anymore or just not interested. Make sure you unsubscribe to help that cluttered inbox down!⁠

➡️ Delete all of the emails you don't need/ want anymore. I know my personal email is so full of crap! Every now & then I delete a s**t load, but they just pile up again... Make sure you are reguarly deleting so this problem doesn't happen...⁠

How good is it to have a clutter free email? Or if YOUR inbox has gone past *the point*. Ha, I can help you with that... 😉 Let me sort it out for you...⁠

It's a pretty important part of your biz, to keep updated with all of the invoices coming in, sending out invoices to clients and keeping on top of overdue payments. 💰Who doesn't wanna get paid?!?! ⁠

🛠 Invoicing can be a job you delegate to a VA, I can pop in all of your expenses, cost them to a job & attach all the receipts. And send out invoices to clients once the job is complete. ⁠

So leave it all up to me so you can be all up-to-date ALL of the time... ⁠You & your bank balance can thank me later 😉⁠

➡️ Land titles, DBYD, Coliban Asset plans, Plan of Subdivisions, Report & Consents, Septic Permits etc - all important pre-build information to get on with the *actual* job... Ha! So much paperwork 🤦‍♀️

Spelling mistakes, grammar errors, sentences not making sense... CRINGE! 🤪⁠

Every time you post something out into the big wide world (social media) you at least need to have taken the time to proof read the text. Auto-correct is sometimes our little silent enemy, so make sure all of your words are correct. ⁠

👷‍♂️ What about documents you send to client's or suppliers? Client documents need to be professional with consistent branding & of course proof read so that they are seeing the BEST side of your business & will want to be a long term client. It's just showing them that you are reliable & taking your business serious. ⁠

That is definitely something I can help you with. ⁠

What a question! What is your day to day like? Are you getting busier & busier that admin is working it's way into your 'own' time? How many hours you work in a week is totally a personal preference but if you are feeling rundown, or overwhelmed with all of the admin then you my friend need a VA. ⁠

So to help you decide WHAT tasks you are going hand over to your trusted VA (Ha, fingers crossed its me 😉) I have some homework for you....⁠

➡️ Write down all of the tasks you do on a day-to-day basis. Yep, even the ones you hate! All of them! ⁠
➡️ Now cross off all the ones you don't enjoy doing or the tasks that you think you need to take charge of.⁠
➡️ Whoop! There you have your very first task list for your VA.⁠
