Named after the Battle at the Pass of Killiecrankie in Scotland, 1689. The victors were led into battle by John Graham of Claverhouse, Viscount Dundee. Since the Monteath's are a branch of the Graham Clan we thought the name was fitting and we liked the way 'crankie' fits well into the Australian vernacular. Killiecrankie Wines are made using small parcels of superior quality fruit sourced from

hand tended vines. The hand picked and pressed wines are made in a true Garagiste way, ensuring the resultant wines are elegantly proportioned with fine texture and balance. Since the first commercial release of the 2005 vintage, Killiecrankie Wines have maintained a very high standard and have achieved a 5 star winery rating in the past 4 editions of James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion.
