Cassava Leaf
$10.95+ This dish is from the via tribe and happens to be a national favorites of most west africans. In liberia it is cooked with assorted meats, onions, hot peppers and palm oil. It is served with rice.

Check Rice N Gravy
$9.75+Rice is mixed with spinach and okra or puree plato to give it a green colour. The sauce is made of vegetable oil, onions, tomato paste (diced tomatoes) optional, bell peppers and spices.

Jollof Rice

Palm Butter

From the eastern regions of liberia, mainly Maryland and sinoe counties. This dish is made from the cream of the palm nut fruit (palm tree). As with all liberian dishes, it is cooked with broth
chicken and ham and then cooked with pepper, dried fish, okra, and many other spices and seasonings. Though it is a delicacy of the African ‘Kru’ tribe, it is widespread throughout the country

What does it taste like: This extremely spicy dish is oily and is pretty hot in taste.

Palava Sauce
$10.25+ This dish also hails from the eastern region of liberia. It is cooked with plato or jute leaves, assorted meats, spices and palm oil. It is eaten with rice or swallowed with fufu.

What is it: Also known as Palaver sauce, Palava sauce, Plasas, Kontonmire, Kentumere, Nkontommire and pla’sas, this dish is basically a stew widely consumed throughout the country. It can be made with any kind of meat including chicken, beef, pork, chevon, mutton, or even fish, shrimps, assorted spices, and vegetables. It is served along with white rice.

What does it taste like: The dish has a hot and spicy taste. Since the meat or fish is often smoked and then simmered, the gravy has a typical smoky flavour.
