For when you don't need another system. You need another person.

Because you can have the CRM. The workflows. The automations. A beautifully organised BTS that you were very proud of when you set it all up. And still have 47 things sitting on your mental to do list.

That's where working with me on a retainer is different. I'm actually in your business each week, doing the work. Sorting the admin. Updating the CRM. Fixing the workflow. Sending the follow up. Adding the task. Figuring out what needs doing next.

We have regular working blocks together, and when something comes up in between, you can just message me.

So there's no need to disappear down a three hour Google/Chat/Claude rabbit hole trying to work out how to fix something yourself. No adding it to the list for 'Future You' to deal with. You can just tell me. Crazy right.

Because I'm not just building you a system and then leaving you high and dry to run it. I'm there to help you actually use it as your business changes and grows.

The system supports the business. I support you. Support squared.

None of these are character flaws (hmm are they?)

Or are you just a solo business owner who has been making it work with sticky tape, memory and a concerning number of tabs open?

You fix things as they pop up. You make a note to sort it later. Later becomes next month. Next month becomes well, it's working, isn't it?

Technically, yes. But there comes a point where 'working' and 'working well' are two very different things.

If one of these made you feel a little personally attacked, you're probably not alone. And I want to hear about it.

That half day back? Here's what it means for me.

A proper coffee after drop off without checking anything first.
Picking the kids up without the phone in one hand.
Actually sitting down for lunch.
Closing the laptop before pick up and meaning it.
Cooking on a Sunday without thinking about the inbox.

And when I ask clients what they're doing with the time back after a build? It's some version of the same.

None of it flashy. All of it life.

Two build spots are open in September if you're ready for some of that life back.

Business owners don't usually set out to create a complicated tech stack. It. Just. Happens.

A calendar tool gets added because you need online bookings. An email platform because you want to send newsletters. Website hosting sits somewhere else because that's just where it's always been. Individually, they all make sense.

But one of my favourite parts of this Systems Audit was being able to move everything under the one CRM.

By making better use of the platform she already had, we brought her email marketing, website hosting and calendar under the one roof.

One login. One monthly fee. One place to manage her business.

The money saved was a nice bonus.

The real win was having fewer moving parts, fewer subscriptions to manage, and one less thing to think about every day.

When it comes to systems I am forever hearing 'I know I need to set it up... I just haven't had the time yet'.

And honestly? I get it. Most people find what I do a bit dull and time consuming.

Learning a CRM, mapping your processes and building workflows does take time. Time most business owners simply don't have because they're busy looking after clients and keeping the business moving.

This client already had everything she needed. She didn't need another platform. She needed someone who could take the way she already worked and build it into the system she'd already invested in.

Sometimes the best investment isn't another piece of software. It's getting your time back by letting someone else build it.

People often think the hard part of a systems build is the software.

In my experience, it's usually not.

The hard part is finding the time to stop, get everything out of your head and map how your business actually runs.

This client had already done that before we started, which meant we could spend our time building instead of guessing.

It was such a good reminder that great systems don't start with a CRM.

They start with a clear process.

Life gets busy.

School holidays. Sick kids. Appointments. A day off. A busy season.

Your business shouldn't grind to a halt every time it happens.

Build a business that gives you the space to work, live and step away when you need to.

A CRM is brilliant.

It can send emails, book meetings, trigger workflows and keep your client journey moving.

But, and yes there is a but. A CRM only does what it's been told to do.

It doesn't notice a clunky process. It doesn't suggest a better way. It doesn't tidy up six months of ' yeah I'll fix that later'.

Enter SHE. Your systems support your business and then I support your systems. I'm calling it support squared (because I'm a little nerdy like that).

It's the difference between having the software, and having someone making sure it's actually working for you.

I have one systems support retainer spot opening in August. Send me a message if support squared sounds good to you.

Three weeks of school holidays looked a little different this time.

I spent one week completely offline. The other two were a mix of kids during the day and work at night.

It wasn't perfectly balanced. It wasn't some dreamy 'I worked from a winery' situation. But it did show me something.

The parts of my business I'd already thought through kept moving without me. Enquiries still came in. Meetings were booked. Invoices went out. The things I'd mapped and automated did their job.

Now the things that didn't happen automatically? They were the things that needed a human. Conversations. Decisions. Client work. And you know what, that's freaking ok.

I think we've quietly accepted that every part of our business has to rely on us, all the time. And it doesn't. Or at least, it shouldn't.

Not everything can be automated, and I wouldn't want it to be. But there are plenty of things that can keep moving while you're at school pickup, taking a day off, or working different hours for a season.
