GROWING SEASON BE LIKE THAT.

Getting swooped by magpies, RIP posts, weevils, snails AND both rye grass flowering & hay cutting season creating the perfect storm for the worst allergy season of all time.

BUT WE LOVE IT.
2027 is on the way, early panic of an early harvest seems to be slowing down a little, maybe, just hopefully this cool spring has brought back some balance and we are right on schedule.

Anyway, unw**ed this weekend feat. A couple new w**es for spring.

Until then, drink w**e, stay sneezy, don’t let the allergies grind you down.

Golden hour, is for golden w**e. Under the wisteria vine.

W**e = Rhyme?

Who cares, w**es is delicious. Spring is here.
That bottle gets to the last drop REALLY quickly in the sunshine.

Grab a bottle & a besty and send the sun to sleep.

Chardonnay vs Cabernet.

We are on, with 2027 growing season firing up.
I hope everyone has a spray unit ready….

Early on growers spray Bordeaux blend, a classic organic blend of sulphur | copper to stop powdery & downy mildews.
Those early sprays are super important, it’s always when you are relaxed or late with the early ones that we see more disease pressure later in the season.

So a bit of extra pressure on growers this year who are finishing pruning & getting the spray units out and about at the same time.

Super grateful for the growers we source from for being all over it.

Suns out this weekend yall.
Drink w**e and enjoy the energy of spring!

START PANICKING I GUESS?
……just kidding, but for real little vineyard check up has the growing season tracking currently 4-5 weeks early.

Lack of rain and a looming El Niño have us looking REAL close at the signs.

It’s very early days and we won’t truly know what’s in store for us for harvest until we hit flowering.

But our vines that burst in mid September consistently are on & the sun is out.

So yeah, we are thinking about it.

2027 on the horizon, already.

A little break from w**e here.
Just a little ode to Margaret River winter.

The secret season in the south west.
Some locals might say this is the season to fall in love with down here.

Slow & beautiful, if you know, you know.
Also, needless to say. The perfect w**e drinking mode.

See you in the southwest, we are drinking Syrah and staying cosy.

MYCUMBENE - HERE WE SIT.

This week the Jingalup family said goodbye to our beloved Aunty Delphine.
Lover of nature, kind, stoic and brave.

She was taken home to Kojonup & our family went to the old family farm to picnic & remember.

Named aptly “MYCUMBENE” in local Kaneang, this means here we sit, a beautiful place to gather, remember and be together.

The land is farmed but the old mud brick & main farmhouse are abandoned now. It was wonderful to hear the stories of the place that was.

This week instead of buying w**e, please donate to any cancer charity that means something to you or plant a native plant for the birds my Aunty loved so much.

Much loss, means much love.
