Vasse & Districts Community Centre Inc.

🎾♻️ TURN YOUR EMPTIES INTO TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENTS!

We’ve now got a dedicated collection bin at Mr Refund Vasse to help raise funds for improvements to the Vasse Community Tennis Court.

We’re currently fundraising for:

🎾 Two new tennis nets
💡 Improved court lighting
📷 Security cameras

So if you’re heading to Mr Refund with your eligible containers, please consider popping a few — or a whole bag! — into the Vasse & Districts Community Centre collection bin.

Every 10¢ adds up, and every container gets us a little closer to improving this community facility.

♻️ Drink. Return. Donate. Play! 🎾

A big thank you to Mr Refund Vasse for supporting our community fundraising.

🥛 A quick recycling reminder! ♻️

We’re so excited about all the new containers that can now be recycled through Containers for Change, and it’s been fantastic to see so many more eligible containers coming through our depots 💚

However, we’ve also noticed a BIG increase in white milk and alternative milk containers (such as oat, soy, almond, nut and rice milk) being dropped off.

Unfortunately, these containers are NOT included in the WA Containers for Change scheme and don’t receive a 10¢ refund.

We cannot recycle these items for you and when they’re dropped off with us we have to manually sort them out and dispose of them in our commercial waste / recycling bins — they are becoming quite costly for our small business.

🏠 Please recycle / dispose of your empty milk and alternative milk containers through your own household bins instead.

Thank you 🫶

Get excited! You can now return most beverage containers between 150ml and 3L at refund points across Western Australia 🎉🎉

This includes:

✅ All fruit and vegetable juice, flavoured milk, and cordial containers.

✅ W**e in any container type.

✅ Spirits.

✅ W**e and water in casks.

30/06/2026

From tomorrow (1 July), you'll be able to recycle your w**e and spirit bottles and claim a 10c refund for each one!

What's more, you'll also be able to recycle containers for juice and cordial bottles, flavoured milk cartons, drink cartons and juice boxes.🧃

So far, the Containers for Changes program has saved more than 5.4 billion containers from going to landfill - and this expansion will make recycling even easier, put more money back in your pocket, and create more jobs for West Aussies. ♻️

Cheers to that 🥂🍾
