There have been twists and turns, but today not only marks the first day of autumn, but also the OFFICIAL release of our 2022 Shiraz! Yes, there are a few cheeky bottles already out there, but today we can celebrate the V22’s coming of age.
So, for those of you who have been eagerly awaiting this release, swing by our Cellar Door and grab a bottle (or 6) or jump on over to our online store. For those of you already nursing a bottle, now is the time to reacquaint yourself with this cracking vino!

Well, everyone is elbows deep in vintage. Viticulturists and winemakers are barely sleeping a wink - a laser-like focus on getting this 2026 vintage picked, processed, and put to rest.
There won’t be too moons, however, before thoughts seriously turn towards another rarely discussed but essential part of the wine process - packaging.
To this end, we want to properly high-five the team that designed and printed our epic labels here at Montague Estate. With literally thousands of you out there commenting on our beautiful they are, it is time for these guys to take a bow!
When the opportunity to work alongside one of this country’s best designers (Mat Wearne from MDW Design) and a world class printing team , we jumped at the chance!
So much effort went in to produce the perfect ‘face’ for our wines. We couldn’t be happier nor more thankful for all their patience and care - not to mention skill!

The cat is already out of the bag, but if you haven’t heard the worst kept secret - there’s a new Estate Chardonnay in the Montague stable! No, this ain’t a buttery thumper - this is a salty, lean, delicate beauty. A perfect accompaniment to your seafood - especially at this time of the year!

For those of you that suspected or heard whispers that a new vintage of our Petit Verdot had arrived - and then promptly snuck online or down to the cellar door to beg, plead and steal - well played, well played indeed ✔️ For those with decorum, patiently waiting all this time - now is the time!
As with our Franc, the 2023 Petit Verdot is a limited release. Available at our cellar door, online, or in just a few wine stores.
Our third release of Petit Verdot is looking stunning, so get in and grab some!

We have just released a limited amount from our 2023 vintage, so get in quick and grab your stash! It’s been a tough and winding road, but this Wednesday, January 7th, sees our cellar door finally reopen its doors!! 🍷 Opening hours with be 10:30am to 5:00pm - we’re looking forward to seeing you all again for a laugh and to taste a few new vintages!!!
