Bendpro is closed today for the King's Birthday public holiday.

Work on our new purpose-built facility continues, with the office area now complete and ready for our move. This space will become our new sales office, where our team will work with customers from first enquiry through to production.

Road works around the site are also progressing, and we're working towards our planned move-in this November.

More updates will be shared as our new facility takes shape.

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of James Hay, Leading Hand of our Polishing Area here at Bendpro.

Our thoughts are with his wife Lou, his family, and loved ones during this difficult time.

For over 10 years, James was a devoted colleague, leader, and mate to many in our close-knit team.

We could hand him the greenest of employees and with patience and dedication, he would mould them into keen members of the Bendpro team.

We will profoundly miss his friendship, authenticity, humour, and kindness.

James, you were a great bloke, and an integral part of our team who is already sorely missed, Rest in Peace.

We downed tools for a few minutes, grabbed a sausage roll, and had a chat. That's what R U OK? Day is all about — not waiting for someone to ask, just making the time to check in.

It doesn't have to be a big thing. A cuppa, a snag, a genuine "how are you going, really?" can make all the difference.

Looking out for each other is part of how we do things here. 💛

Our team recently came together for a day of training, teamwork and celebrating some great results.

We kicked things off with a KFC lunch before activities. It was a great opportunity to recognise the hard work that went into the last 12 months.

The afternoon focused on our five core values, with each one put into practice through a team challenge:

New Ways Open New Doors: teams tackled Mad Gab, thinking differently and working together to figure out the unusual phrases.

Bend Without Breaking: teams took on a building challenge where they had to adapt, communicate and find a Plan B when things didn't go to plan.

Do The Right Thing: teams worked through workplace scenarios and discussed how to make the right call in different situations.

Punch Above Your Weight: teams played Balloon Tennis, working together to keep as many balloons in the air as possible.

Kick Goals: teams worked together to build bridges using limited materials, testing their designs to see how much weight they could hold.

It was a great way to bring the values into a practical setting and get everyone involved.

We also celebrated Danny and Aaron completing their Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade, Arina completing her Bachelor of Business and Matt celebrating his five-year anniversary with Bendpro.

Andrew, Alex and Matt were also recognised through our quarterly Core Values peer nominations for consistently demonstrating our values in everything they do.

To thank everyone for their contribution, each person received a mixed meat tray to take home.

A great day of training, teamwork and recognising the people behind the results.

We're incredibly proud to celebrate a huge milestone for one of our own, Arina, from our Sales & Marketing team, who has graduated from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) with a Bachelor of Business (Management) with a minor in Public Relations.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that Arina completed this degree while working full time with us here at Bendpro over the past three years. Balancing a demanding role while completing a university degree takes serious dedication, discipline and drive, and she's done it all while continuing to be an integral part of our team.

Her commitment to growth and excellence reflects everything we value at Bendpro, and we know the skills and knowledge she's gained will continue to shine through in her work with us.

Congratulations, Arina. This achievement is well and truly earned. 👏
