Tight deadlines. High-value equipment. Zero margin for delay.

That was the reality behind this Spidercam shipment, and exactly where our team thrives.

ICE coordinated the international movement of specialised filming equipment, managing airfreight, customs clearance, and ground handling with precision. Every detail mattered, from documentation accuracy to timing on arrival, because delays simply weren’t an option.

By staying closely aligned with all parties involved and proactively managing each step, we ensured the equipment arrived exactly when needed, ready for immediate use.

No stress. No setbacks. Just a job done right.

⚠️ China Holiday Period Approaching: Expect Capacity Pressure and Potential Delays

Importers and exporters should start planning now for upcoming disruptions across China as the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Golden Week holidays approach.

With reduced operations across factories, trucking networks, ports and logistics providers, businesses can expect:

- Increased demand for vessel space before the holidays
- Potential trucking and container shortages
- Congestion as cargo volumes surge ahead of closures
- Extended transit times and shipment delays

Adding to the challenge, recent typhoon-related disruptions have already impacted parts of China's logistics and port operations, creating additional pressure on supply chains and equipment availability.

If you have shipments scheduled for September or October, early planning and booking will be key to minimising disruption and securing space.

Think container damage isn’t your problem? Think again.

Unexpected repair bills are one of the most common (and frustrating) hidden costs in shipping—and they often land with the cargo owner.

What causes it?
🔹 Rough handling during loading/unloading
🔹 Overweight or poorly distributed cargo
🔹 Improper packing or unsecured goods

Even minor damage can trigger inspection fees, repair costs, and delays.

Correct packing, accurate weight declaration, and working with partners who know what to look for.

A project we are very proud of:

ICE managed the import of Inter-City Fleet rail carriages into NSW, coordinating complex break-bulk movements, port handling, and specialised transport equipment. Our team handled everything from vessel selection and discharge planning through to stevedoring coordination, heavy-lift requirements, and securing the necessary permits for oversized inland transport.

On the ground, we carefully planned delivery sequencing, site access, and lifting operations to ensure each carriage was positioned exactly where it needed to be—on time and without disruption. Close coordination with port authorities, transport providers, and site teams meant we were able to keep the project moving smoothly despite the scale and complexity.

The result? A controlled, efficient delivery with minimal downtime, reduced handling risks, and complete visibility for the client from origin to final placement.

🚨 The 2026/27 BMSB Season Is Approaching!🚨

Every year, the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) poses a serious biosecurity threat to Australia, and the Department of Agriculture enforces strict seasonal measures to protect our borders.

From 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027, importers must comply with mandatory treatments and inspection requirements for certain goods and countries. Non-compliance can mean costly delays, re-export, or rejection of your cargo.

Our latest blog breaks down everything you need to know this season - what's changed, which goods and countries are affected, approved treatments, and how to keep your supply chain running smoothly: https://icecargo.com.au/the-ultimate-stink-bug-guide-2026-27-bmsb-season-australia/

Ferragosto is a national public holiday in Italy, celebrated on 15 August, with origins dating back to Feriae Augusti, a festival established by Emperor Augustus as a period of rest after intensive agricultural work.

Today, it marks the peak of the European summer, with many businesses across Italy—and parts of Europe—closing or operating with reduced staff as people take extended holidays.

For supply chains, this often means slower production, limited documentation availability, and potential delays across both origin and destination.

If you have shipments planned around this time, allow extra time to navigate the seasonal slowdown or speak to our experts to plan around potential shipping disruptions.
